We reserved the Lower Level One Bedroom Suite for ourselves and Bear Room for our adult daughter. We decided upon the Lower Level One Bedroom because of the additional space, kitchen and washer/dryer. The rooms were very spacious, tastefully decorated, and had nice linens, thick fluffy towels. The view of the waterfront is great and you can watch float planes and ships for hours. Ear plugs are provided to help overcome the noise from the float plane activity that begins very early each morning. Our hostess, Cherry, was very friendly and purchased breakfast items according to our preferences which was really special. The only complaint that we had with the Master Suite was that for the spaciousness of the room itself with its separate breakfast room and kitchen, was the extremely small RV-type shower stall in the bathroom. Neither my husband nor myself could move once we entered the shower. It was so cramped that we requested the smaller upstairs Master Suite after the first night. Since we were staying for a week, we simply could not endure a shower that does not accommodate the average adult. The Master Suite was perfect: it had a better view of the waterfront activities and wildlife and a full-sized tub/shower. On the second day, we noticed that our room and our daughter's room was filled with the smell of cigarette smoke. For a non-smoking bed and breakfast, we found this a little perplexing. All of the rooms have a laundry chute in the bathrooms and apparently the laundry room had a smoker. We left a message regarding our daughter's cigarette smoke allergy and we had yet another incidence of smoke smell filling the bathrooms.
The rooms and view were beautiful, the breakfast items great (locally roasted Raven's Brew coffee provided, fresh fruit, whatever cereal, yogurt requested), and was a clean and inviting home away from home. It is too bad that the shower is so small in the otherwise Huge downstairs suite and cigarette smoke spoiled an otherwise wonderful stay. I would suggest that the owners rethink that shower, explore better seals on the laundry chute or refrain from smoking indoors in an advertised non-smoking establishment. Overall the Eagle Heights B & B is conveniently located to town, has a great view of the waterfront float planes, eagles, cruise ships arriving and leaving, and is a good value.
