We stayed here for 2 nights when visiting Denali National Park in August. Due to my late planning, they didn't have any one room available for the 2 nights we wanted to stay. So, I booked one night in the Blue Moose room and one in the Purple Caribou room.
Our first night was in the Purple Caribou room and it was a nice space with a balcony overlooking the mountains and lake. Sadly, the weather wasn't cooperating during our stay so we didn't spend any time on the balcony.
The staff, though we never saw any of them, were great in the fact that they moved all of our stuff for us into the Blue Moose room for our second evening. That room was, in our opinion, just as nice as the first. No major differences aside from the decor. I do think the deck was a shared one as opposed to the personal deck in the purple caribou room - but again, we didn't use these due to the weather.
The check-in process is different than most B&B/Inn-type places I've stayed in before. There is no interaction with any staff or owners - information is left for the guests on the front porch that directs you to your room with the key in the door. They do ask that you remove your shoes, which is common for B&Bs and Inns. The breakfast they provide is really just a few individual-serving boxes of cereal, plus some milk, juice, and fruit in the minifridge. I do believe there were also muffins in the fridge. Nothing to write home about, but enough to fill you in the morning. They also offer boxed or bagged lunches to take with you to the park if that's what you have planned. Just let them know the evening before (via a message board of sorts) and you'll have your lunch.
All in all, I'd recommend it to travelers - but the lack of personal interaction means I wouldn't seek it out as a MUST stay if we ever make it back to the area. It's that personal interaction that I usually enjoy most when staying at an Inn or B&B.
