Very quirky and interesting place. Was supposed to stay 3 nights but only stayed for 1. Very friendly guy on the reception counter too. Place looks cheap & it's cheaply built, with local plywood, stones, twigs & logs etc., just a few feet from the beach, but it's expensive to stay here.
The thin board, half wall between the two rooms gives you little privacy. After hearing the girls in the adjacent room going to the toilet at night, listening to them clean their teeth, suffer their lights going on and off, faulty toilet cistern running all night, no air conditioning or fan, twig for a towel rail & no hot water at $300 a night, it was just a bit too quirky for us. You can prop the windows open for air with a twig & there is a mosquito net against all the mozzies which is handy...
It's a pretty isolated spot on the smaller island. There's a small restaurant on site that you walk through to get to the reception & entrance.
A little local shop selling cans of tuna, spam, cans of drinks, water etc., is also about a 20-30 minute walk away.
A guy has a boat moored on site that you can can pay to go scuba diving with too. Lots of tiny ants in the room and spotted a lizard or two, but then they can be fun. Bit like camping really.
