“Perfect for our family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2010

Our family of five (myself, my husband, two children in their twenties and our 12 year old) spent five glorious days at Villa Corallina last December. I've been meaning to write this review since then because all of us so enjoyed our stay. The location is quiet, private and stunning. We relaxed at the beach, kayaked, snorkeled, took walks around the motu, and also explored the main island of Moorea. (Regarding the beach, it's both sandy and 'ironshore'; we simply wore water shoes and enjoyed everything about it, particularly the sea life around the ironshore.) Marco and Tatiana, who own the property, along with their home just down the beach, were accommodating, helpful and knowledgeable. As hosts, they achieved the perfect balance of anticipating our needs but otherwise leaving us to ourselves. Marco transported us by boat from the motu to the main island whenever we requested it (including a very early morning departure so we could make our connection to our next destination, New Zealand.) He and Tatiana gave us great advice about places to go, restaurants, tours, etc. (And when our youngest developed a dental problem, Marco arranged a visit to the dentist.) I can't imagine a better way to enjoy the beauty of Moorea than staying at Villa Corallina. As excited as we were to see NZ, when it was time to leave, none of us wanted to go! We went on to have a spectacular time in NZ, but we all agree we would love to return to Villa Corallina some day, as our only destination.

“A Peaceful Paradise.”

Our stay here was for six wonderful days in July 2010.
We have read the other entries for the villa here and viewed the pictures. All the wonderful things these Trip Advisers say are true. Pictures are great but it is hard to catch this much beauty in a picture. The host/owners Tatiana and Marco are very helpful, charming, generous and kind. They have their own beautiful Fare next door (A Fare is an open-air house.). Tatiana is a wonderful cook. She was very kind to bring us delicious local specialties to try during our stay. A helpful and friendly staff of two resides on the expansive grounds in small cottages. The staff was seldom seen yet diligent in maintaining manicured grounds, a raked beach and stacked kayaks. There is an outrigger, a two-person kayak and three single person kayaks. It was amazingly peaceful to take a kayak out in the early morning on a glass calm lagoon. Marco is available to bring you across the lagoon during your stay. He was so kind to take us to visit a nearby lagoon location where we swam with sharks and rays. A thrilling experience! Snorkeling is incredible! We spent hours exploring the coral near the villa.

We rented the large, main Fare for six days. There is also a separate master bedroom Fare available and a small cottage near the back of the property away from the beach. They only rent to one party at a time on the property. The cottage looks very nice and cozy but we highly recommend the main Fare. You will not want to miss the views from the main open air Fare and deck, which overlooks the beach, lagoon and Moorea.
There are none of the sand flies (No-Nos, No-see-ums) here that can be found on many islands. There are mosquitoes mainly in the still of the morning and evening. Mosquito coils are provided and work amazingly well. Bring insect repellant.

We cannot say enough about the truly wonderful experience we had here at Villa Corallina.

“The Hidden Gem of Moorea”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 April 2010

We hesitated to post a review for Villa Corallina because we want to keep this gem for ourselves!! Villa Corallina was our last stop on our 4-week trip throughout French Polynesia and it was fantastic.

The hosts and owners, Marco and Tatiana, are absolutely delightful people. Marco picked us up at the beach across the motu and kindly took us to the market for some provisions. He knows all the good spots! After a short boat ride across the lagoon, we arrived a the peaceful motu and made our way to the quaint little cottage nestled in the lush tropical surroundings. The cottage is well equiped and just the perfect size for a couple. We spend a week there and we didn't want to leave! Marco and Tatiana are on-site and available for anything at anytime, but they are also very discreet and they let you enjoy your solitude. Kayaks are available to tour the motu, or you can simply tour it on foot. There are other residents on the motu, but we didn't see anyone. Boat tours come almost everyday for ray feeding and snorkeling on the otherside of the motu, but it's far enough that no tourists come around to disburb your peace at the Villa. The snorkeling around the area is great and there's even a small restaurant on the adjacent motu for a great lunch. The location is perfect and we spent every night on the beach admiring the beautiful sunsets.

We can't say enough of the place...You'll have to experience it yourself!

“Wonderful experience”

We spent the first week of our honeymoon at the villa. Marco and Tatiana were great from getting us to the Villa and helping us with ideas of things to do on the main island. Beautiful location, peaceful, and relaxing. The villa is more breathtaking in person compared to any of the photos. It is obvious they put pride into their Villa and the land around it. Great spots for snorkeling close by and a good way to start our honeymoon. We would stay again!

“Absolutely amazing”

We stayed at this villa as part of the return trip to New Zealand in February 2009.
I had never seen any place so beautiful. Can’t compare to any Caribbean all-inclusive resorts.
For affordable price you have your own garden, beach and lagoon… and sunset 
Marco and Tatiana are perfect hosts and very nice people.
Snorkeling was steps away and water was deep enough to stand (around 5 ft) and shallower as you got closer to shore.
We saw a variety of fish and a spotted sting ray.
We'd certainly stay there again.
