To get to Dwarka you have to drive along an unsurfaced road and then walk down into a jungle valley. As a result, you really do feel cut off from the hectic, touristy buzz you expect when you're in Goa. The valley, sweet water lagoon and beach were stunningly beautiful and the atmosphere at the camp was both relaxed and welcoming at the same time as being refreshingly low key and subtle. The huts themselves were very clean and airy and we thoroughly enjoyed being perched among the tress listening to all the wildlife. Some people may not like the limited avaiabilty of electricity, however I felt this added to the charm and tranquility of the camp and its environmentally conscious ethos.
The staff were very helpful throughout our stay and were interesting to talk to, making us feel thoroughly welcome and providing delicious food at the same time as giving us space to enjoy the peaceful location. In short, this was my favourite experience during a wonderful stay in Goa and I would really recommend it to anyone who wants a bit of relaxation out of the ordinary in Goa.
