This hotel is located far too far outside of the main areas one would be intending to visit... This said there is a Western style coffee shop across the road - which currently has major roadworks on it - and a couple of very nice boutique/unusual shops within walking distance - but that is all that is within easy reach.... for anything else you are looking at a half hour rickshaw ride....
Apart from the fact that the hotel is located on a major road - dual cariageway style - complete with road works and miles from anything - this hotel is the worst I stayed in during my India visit!
It is noisy - outside and in.... the staff look friendly on the desk - yet do very little about anything you ask.... with the exception of the housekeeping and restaurant staff that seem to manage to get everything right...
Restaurant - food is ok - nothing amazing - beware that when offered any juices to drink these are not inlcuded in the price and they tried to charge me 300 rupees for a small glass! Service can be a little slow - so leave loads of time... Apart from breakfast, there are never many people in the restaurant...
Rooms - comfortable enough - though you will need to order more blankets....but the heating does work should you need it.... Majority of rooms face the main road - and are so noisy you will not be sleeping much. They are quite dusty also. And the windows are very ill fitting which no doubt adds to the problems I mentioned... there is a continuous electrical humming noise that doesn;'t recede unless you take the room card out of the wall - which reduces you to using candlelight!!!
Unless you are absolutely desperate - find somewhere else to stay...
