This hotel which is in the centre of Mumbai is one of the slum hotel of this city. The surrounding area is very noisy and dirty. The rooms are like a coffin box with no place to move around. The interior and furniture of the rooms are old and broken with dust and dirt all around the place. There are also bugs around the bed. The bathroom and the toilet are very small and broken. The stink from the toilet is all the time in the room. The water from the old shower is so near the toilet that the water splashes on the bather through the toilet. The gyser is so old, rusted and all the electric wires visible could get you electrocuted while bathing. The reception is not helpful, arrogant, aggressive and behave as if they are letting us stay free of charge. DON'T EVER VISIT THIS HOTEL IN YOUR ENTIRE LIFE.

Grant road is situated quite close to the main attractions of the city. This hotel provides a good value-for-money stay in Mumbai.
I went on a personal trip and had a peaceful stay. The hotel has an advantage of it's location. It's right in front of grant road station and is very well connected.

The hotel offers clean rooms and decent service. The food is also good.

Although, do not expect a palace. It's a decent place to stay for a short trip. :)

As i was in a hurry to Mumbai on Official visit, I made booking through internet, but not confirmed at the time of booking. I was worried about the same. But when i checked in at hotel, they are confirmed my booking which is really helped me lot. Hotel rooms are good and staff also very supportive. Nice location, hardly 2 min from Grant Road Local Train Station.
Nice place for shopping too. Mainly Computer's parts and Electronic parts.

I ended up staying at Grant, because of a unplanned trip. Its located in a slightly calm area. Though its a bit tough to get taxis outside the hotel. The hotel was a let down right from the moment i entered the hotel. The reception took 10 mins to allot my rooms. The rooms are big bud they smell a bit odd and has a kind of an ancient feel to it.
The fact the shocked me was next day's break fast. The total spread in the breakfast was an aloo bonda, cornflakes, milk, bread butter and jam. I was appalled at what they called a break fast. Grumbingly I had what ever was there and decided to checkout of the room. Horror awaited me, as it took them 15 mins to check me out. I was zapped at the inefficiency of the staff. Avoid this place.
