It was a very smooth experience right from booking this hotel on phone till the check out. Hotel staff at reception is amusing, rooms are small but clean and nicely done, breakfast was good each day. For the price they charge, its worth.

If you are transiting through Mumbai and wish to stay close to the airport, then Hotel Midland is the place for you. The rooms are clean and basic with an air conditioner, LCD TV, safe deposit locker and a fridge. The staff is very efficient and friendly. There were absolutely no hassles right from the time of the booking till the check out.

At the time of the booking we were told that a car would be waiting at the airport to pick us up. But our flight was scheduled earlier than the said time and we informed the hotel only after we landed in Mumbai. We thought we would have to wait for sometime, but to our surprise the hotel's representative was waiting for us at the exit.

Although it is a tad bit over priced and noisy due to its location in a busy area, you cannot go wrong with choosing this hotel for your stay at Mumbai.

We stayed for one night and it did its job. We arrived late at night and stayed for a bit extra on the second night as we were leaving early morning. Prices are like Western prices ($100 per night) so I would expect better (closer to Western standards). The problems were the noise from being in such a busy area and the rooms were small and our's smelled of smoke. Staff were helpful (especially the women working in the day). If you organize a driver though for a tour make sure they speak English as ours could barely say two words and so found it hard to know where we wanted to go. It took him an hour to work out we wanted to go to a mall for some shopping and food.

This was a stopover trip. The staff were fantastic, nothing too much trouble. Room was very small but clean. Outdoor restaurant was pleasant a little on the expensive side, and breakfast was very limited but overall a good stopover choice.
