This was a package,including dinner.The ala carte menu was good.How ever the staff were mechanical like other geovt organisations . The location was panaromic . The room was ok. The hotel travel agent could have been more helpful.The visit to the mall, The Kalibari were enjoyable.

The hotel under taken by Himachal tourisam. I stayed for one night. The room was not good. It was delux room but not good. Restarunt was looking good. Food was ok. The view point is good from the hotel. Room rates are high.

This hotel is average and maybe ok as a stop gap arrangement. I was here for only one night in October 2011 and I put up in a room for which they charged INR 1000 (~20 USD) but they had a luxury room for INR 5000 as well. The INR 1000 room was fine for the price. The room is shabby and not very clean but just clean enough. It was close to mall road and a back door from the hotel leads upstairs towards the road. So all in all I am indifferent because i'm sure there are better hotels in Shimla. I didn't avail the service so cannot really comment on that.

the only thing good bout this hotel is it's location ..it's near this lift which directly takes you to the mall road..n secondly you get ample parking space( incase you drive down to this place)..the reception is very boring with typical government employee staff ..the rooms r very boring with stinking interiors n unhygienic beddings..the washrooms r plain n boring...food was good n service was okay...I wud not want to visit this property again...thr r better options like 'the oberoi cecils' which is definitely on my next list..
