Background: Client goofed up on our reservations at the Muse and as a result we had to move into this hotel. We saw the reviews and came with our apprehensions.
Plus:
1. Access. We have an auto rickshaw (tuk-tuk) stand very close by. The Greater Kailash areas are also close. So are some of the Tourist attractions like the Qutub Minar and the Lotus Temple.
2. Value for money.
Middle aspects:
1. Rooms are spacious and functional. Sleep quality is good. They have some kind of chemical to clean the floors that leave the whole room with a very dank smell that can annoy people. I asked for some room freshner to be sprayed and I was immediately obliged. Its an old property (4+ years) so it could use some form of revamp in the elevator and the general color scheme on the inside.
2. The coffee-shop is in the basement which also makes it very dull to come inside during breakfast. The fresh morning feeling is lost. It does have a cafetaria look but the only comparables are the European bed and breakfast joints that have a similar feeling to it.
3. Food is decent. No complaints on that count. Taste is consistent. Also, they do not stop the guests from ordering in from delivery outlets like pizza joints or other restaurants.
Minus:
1. No mini-bar snacks (Great for weight watchers but not so good if you suddenly get hunger pangs at night)
2. No immediately accessible restaurants or shopping areas.
Overall rating: Its in between Average and Very Good... So lets give a middle rating of Good.
