“The good the not so good and the interesting”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

The only significant draw back to staying at this B and B is its proximity from most of the sights and places you will inevitably wish to visit on a stay in Delhi. The ever helpful owners can arrange you relatively modestly priced and very reliable transportation but 45 minutes or so each way in a morale sapping traffic jam has its limitations in interest value after a journey or two. There are three rooms all comfortably furnished and clean. Family life goes on about you as you come and go between your room and the lounge or dining room but no one seems the least abashed or hung up about this so we weren't. There is a small but interesting shopping and restaurant area within a gentle few minutes walk from the accommodation which was interesting to visit: you can glimpse the walled mansions of obviously well healed and comparatively mega-wealthy Deli elite along the way. This two night stay was an interesting contrast to the hotels we had stayed in for the rest of our month in India: more connected and personal. Up to you ultimately whether you prefer to be involved or more impersonal for your overnight stays. Maybe there is room for both in your itinery?

Room Tip: Only three rooms so no real issues to differentiate between.

We thank the guest for his review.
Just to put things in perspective. The guest, his wife and his family of 3 lovely enthusiastic kids
were wonderful. While they were here, it was fog time and republic day national celeberations (means security issues). Both slow down the traffic and make traffic diversions.

Plus, Delhi was their last halt after a month's stay in rural or not so large towns of India. Thus Delhi showed poorly in comparison as Delhi is certainly much more busy than interiors of India.

The family had only one day to spend in Delhi and we guess a lot was squeezed in.

For the readers of this page: If the idea is to see all sights of Delhi, then no one location is good. One needs to travel to different parts of Delhi. As mentioned earlier, Lotus Temple, Akshardham Temple, markets, Lodhi Garden, Humayun's Tomb, Nizammuddin Dargah are within 10 to 15 minutes ride.

“A great introduction to India”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

When we arrived in Delhi at 5 am, my baggage got missing, I had to stay at the airport for a bit longer because of the delay, but the organized pick up driver was still there, waiting for me. I was so happy to see someone holding my name written down.
The owners were extremely helpfull and friendly, they were never pushy, never tried to sell me anything or get me to buy anything. The lady brought me to the local market to get a few clothes when I was still waiting for my backpack to arrive. She also rang the airport to speed things up with the missing backpack.
I was travelling with my two children and it was a gentle introduction to Delhi madness.
Thank you for a lovely stay.

“Excellent quality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

The owners are super friendly and helpful with useful tips about where to go and how not to get scammed. Everything is clean and we felt super safe. There's a decent shopping/eating area nearby too. Free Wi-Fi, but you have to ask for the password. And the breakfast is delicious!

“India Alone”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 December 2011

Extremely comfortable family home. Travelling alone was made very welcome. The hosts are both gracious & friendly & more than happy to help the solo traveller get around. I particularly enjoyed my home cooking experience.

“Wonderful stay in Delhi Bed and Breakfast”

I spent 3,5 weeks in Delhi Bed and Breakfast. 2,5 weeks alone, for business, one week with my partner. I really enjoyed my stay. After a day of hard work in busy Delhi, the B & B really felt like a home away from home. The host and hostess are warm, welcoming people, always ready to help you and advice you. The meals Lubna prepares are superb. The house is located in a very nice neigbourhood, located about 20 minutes by tuctuc from most major tourist sites. The rooms are comfortable with en suite bathrooms, ac and fan and wifi and each floor has a nice terrace with plants and flowers. Next time I go to Delhi I will certainly go back there.
