This is a nice place with a great view. The rooms are clean. The people are helpful.
It is a good place to stay when you are in Kandy. We enjoyed our time here. Dinner is not served there. It is close to the Tooth relic Temple. We would stay there again.

Basic rooms, but very clean, very professional and efficient service,excellent views of Kandy

We stayed here for two nights, just at the end of the Perahera festival.
The resident tuk tuk driver, who is very friendly and helpful, helped us to get seats for the last day of the festival. The couple who run the hotel are also really helpful and friendly. They answered all our questions about train times to Nanu Oya, our next stop.
Our room was excellent value, spotlessly clean and the beds were really comfortable. The views from our room and the balcony off the little dining area over Kandy were superb! Especially when the Temple of the Tooth was all lit up for the festival.
It's about a 5 min walk or so down to Kandy lake, but all uphill to get back, so we opted for tuk tuks!
We had breakfast both days and it was simple, but good and decent portion sized.
We really enjoyed our stay at McLeod! :)

Small but clean rooms with attached bathrooms. Not much space for your stuff in the room and definitely not a room to stay in reading and relaxing. BUT very very nice common area and a big balcony with the best view in Kandy. You don´t want to stay in your room but just sit on the balcony with a beer looking over the city. The owner is extreamly friendly and the food, curry, was great.
If I ever go back to kany I´ll definitely stay there again.
