Small but clean rooms with attached bathrooms. Not much space for your stuff in the room and definitely not a room to stay in reading and relaxing. BUT very very nice common area and a big balcony with the best view in Kandy. You don´t want to stay in your room but just sit on the balcony with a beer looking over the city. The owner is extreamly friendly and the food, curry, was great.
If I ever go back to kany I´ll definitely stay there again.

We stayed here two nights. Owners are very nice and laid back, rooms are very clean and location is also very good because from the sundeck there's an impressive and pleasant view on Kandy's lake and all the surrounding nature.
When we got there with ours heavy backpacks they made us a good cold fresh fruit juice...very pleasant !
And above all, it's very cheap. Ideal to stay couple of nights in Kandy.

We stayed here our two nights in Kandy, it made for a great base to explore the city. The rooms were a decent size, clean and great value. It has a fantastic balcony with beautiful views over the city. It's a ways up the hill over the city, but there's a path which cuts down to the city, about a ten minute walk. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed at the McLeod Inn for a couple of nights in December and enjoyed the friendliness of the owners as well as the rooms, views and the food. The latter is unfortunately overpriced, but if you cannot (because of the rain) or do not want to go into Kandy Town you will have to accept it. Located on one of the surrounding hills, you are far away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy Town and you can catch a good sleep in fresh air. The rooms are clean, the service is spot on...one of the best value for money places we stayed at during our month in Sri Lanka...
