Anuradhapura is the key city for tourists who love culture and history. The greatness of the city is undermined by hotels of this class.
This place could have been kept and groomed in an excellent fashion, but due to pure negligence, it is of sub standard.
The food was one of the worst i ever had, as a vegetarian, nothing was on offer for us, and being a key buddhist city i expected better.
Rooms were very ancient, could have been kept nicely but were,nt.
No options whatsoever in the rooms.
The garden was neglected.The artificial ponds were dry.
Waiters were a bit rude as well.
Best thing is to avoid this place as the charges are not worth.

This place is dirty throughout. Over 125 years old and probably last cleaned 124 years ago. Room smelt of damp and urine, bed linen not clean, table linen encrusted with food. Stayed 1 day and left. I would rather sleep rough than pay for this. My wife cried when we were in our room at the thought of having to stay there.

First, when we drove in from Pollanaruwa, the hotel was tough to find.
We paid nearly 100 USD a night--- and had an experience that really was not up to the mark.
The bathtub was dirty when we got there, the towels were wet!
The food--- well there was no ala carte-- you just HAD to eat what was on the buffet.
Finally, there is not internet-- no business center. You just don't expect such complete lack of connectivity in today's day and age, especially at a place with the sort of room rents that this one charges.
All in all we really found the place completely not worth it.
Avoidable.
