We had stayed in the Palm Garden Village the night before but it was fully booked for our second night in the area. For the difference in price it was a huge difference in quality. In the bathroom: the sink and shower did not drain, the toilet did not flush properly. Towels were rough! The room door looked like it had been broken down at some stage. The staff though were friendly and tried hard but the building itself needs a lot of work. In sum old, worn and smelly

Great hotel, located close to the sights of Anuradhapura one of the cities of the cultural triangle. Great food, nice pool and located at a big lake.

We had a cold flannel and drink on arrival which was very well received. The room was ensuite and a decent size with aircon and fan. Fairly basic but adequate for a night or two. TV was mainly Sri Lankan and Indian offerings. Dinner and breakfast was from a buffet which meant you could just graze for what you wanted, usual selection of curry mainly. There is a swimming pool which is a reasonable size.

I arrived with my spouse for my honey moon . Starting from the begin it has been a nightmare The room was very small and the bad was very uncomfortable. We requested to change the bed sheets as on it there were many strange spots and some hair….. In the bathroom the water liked. No continues hot water service.
The pool were we thought to find a bit of relax, was dirty, full of insects and frogs.
During the lunch a door felt down on the floor . The food was terrible: every days same buffet with the same fish (they probably put the color on his eyes to make him fresh).The last evening we had the better surprise…..during the dinner my wife took a salad . When she was eating she sow something green like a green been in the plate moving …I let you imagine …...That was the candy on the cake. I will never recommend Galway Miridiya Lodge
