Very basic rooms that need to be updated and better maintained. Lighting in the rooms is very poor even with every light on! Some of my travel companions said that they had no hot water in their rooms. Staff were friendly and food in restaurant was good. Hotel has a nice pool.

Stayed here for 2 nights with a birdwatching group in December.

The hotel is opposite what appears to be an old hotel which is currently being renovated so there's lots of noise and dust if you're in the adjacent block. Our room was dingy and tired and could have done with a good clean. It was very wet during the couple of nights we stayed and the room and bedding always felt damp. The bathroom was also a bit grim - the shower was adequate, but the cold water tap to the washbasin couldn't be fully switched off and the loo had to be flushed by removing the cistern lid, pressing down the float until the cistern had filled, then pressing the flush button - classy!

Pool and garden area was quite nice - and together with close proximity to the tank (reservoir) - provided good birdwatching opportunities, including Indian Pitta.

Food was okay with the usual rice and curry, vegetarian and western style options. Bar service was erratic and a dispute over our bill topped off a less than average stay.

The hotel is located centrally in the city so its convenient for those travelling on work. It has a lovely garden overlooking a tank so it is a nice place to relax in, if you have some time.

The rooms are alright, cosy and furnished with basic amenities. Some rooms in certain parts of the hotel have undergone refurbishment and are much better. After having issues after eating from their buffet during some of my earlier visits, I decided that I would stick to simple food a-la-carte during my stay there and have not any problems since. Staff service is friendly and they are quick to respond to requests.

While not a great place, it is certainly a convenient place for short stays in Anuradhapura.

Stayed here for two nights on a tour of Sri Lanka.Average hotel public areas appear very nice ie resauarant / bar area.nice pool with towel and bar service and the fruit bats come free at dusk.Bedroom leans towareds the basic and slightly tired but was clean.Slighly damp feel to the rooms dont know if this was due to the very heavy rain when we arrived.Did not eat in the hotel at night so cannot comment on the evening meals but breakfast was very good with a wide range of Sri Lankin and western choices.ie curry ,pancakes,porridge omlettes cooked fresh ,beans,scrambled eggs etc etc suplimented with a wide choice of breads and rolls.Hotel staff were friendly and efficient.Hotels grounds were very pleasant.
