“Perfect for Families”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

It was our family's second time to stay at the Rock Inn in Sagada (the first was in December 2008). We stayed in their Executive Room, which has two double beds that will fit four adults. It was a corner room located on their first floor, which had windows on two sides, and had its own hot/cold shower. The room had two electrical outlets. We are very happy with their pleasant service and the homey ambiance. It feels very secluded and quiet due to its distance from town. Accommodations are basic, clean and affordable. Food is a bit on the pricier side compared to the other restaurants in town, but we chose to eat at the inn because of the convenience of having your meal ready when you get out of your room. The inn is two km away from the town center, and when you take the turnoff from the main road, there is a bit of a rough road (about 500m) to the inn. Recommended for travelers who have their own vehicle, since it is quite a distance from town. Suitable also for big groups since the inn has a large dining area and some bunk rooms.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the 2nd floor. Since we stayed in the 1st floor, there were times when we could...

“Nice secluded place for family and friends”

They have good food and lots of Orange trees. You can pick the fruits and eat them there after paying 50 pesos. They have very good ambiance. I believe they are the most luxurious hotel in Sagada. But if you will stay there, be sure to take the rooms on the 2nd floor, because the ceiling, walls and top floor are made of wood, so if children are playing (running/slamming doors) everyone on the ground floor can hear it, loud and clear.

Room Tip: Pick the rooms on the top floor.

“Perfect for big groups”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

2km to the town proper. We were 33 in our group. Our room had 4 double deck beds with nice blankets and pillows. It has basic amenities like towels, hot water and clean bath room.
They also have a common bath room in each floor in case you need it since 8 people will have to share in one bath room. They have this fireplace where you could hang out for drinks. In the Cafe food was okay but not too great. Overall our stay was pleasant and will definitely recommend this place.

Room Tip: Choose the ground floor

“Good for the price we paid”

The staff was very friendly, courteous, and helpful; that's a big plus for the Rock Inn. Our room (a mini executive for three people) was rather large, and it had plenty of shelves to put our things on. The room was clean, and it overlooked the orange grove. I wished there was a mirror in the room, though; the only mirror was in the bathroom. The bathroom was rather small and could use a little more scrubbing, and that was where the Inn showed its age, but there was a heated shower, which is useful in Sagada.

The location of the Rock Inn is rather far from town; those with walking problems will find it hard to go to town on foot. The Inn provides a shuttle, and the shuttle is free for two trips, but at P150 one way, it could get rather expensive if you want to go to town more than once a day. However, I did not regret staying at the Rock Inn rather than in the main part of town because the surroundings of the Rock Inn are more scenic; the town where most of the other inns are isn't very pretty.

“Pretty decent...perfect if you want a quiet, relaxing place...”

First thing you should know is that the place is off the city center... you have to walk about 2 kms to go to the municipal hall where you book the tours... walking late night is not recommended (although we've done it) unless you got yourself some flashlight (we didnt!) as there are no street lights... food was really good and great value for money which was a little surprising for me.. walls on the room is very very thin, and i mean very... we can hear our room neighbors snoring away through out the night..
overall it was a nice stay, i think it's prefect if you're looking for a quiet and relaxing place to stay in (w/c is prolly the main reason for going up the mountains..) but if you're looking for a more upbeat and lively accomodation, then i guess the hostels or shared pensions in the town proper would be more convenient and better...

Room Tip: Try their cafe for a taste of real Filipino dishes
