“Pure happiness for people who enjoy art, history and authenticity”

I stayed in many hotels in Bukhara (I travel there often for business and pleasure) and I can honestly say that K.Komil Hotel is the best one in Bukhara. It is small, cozy and extremely charming. Everything there is decorated in traditional Uzbek style so you feel like you traveled back in time. The rooms are very comfortable and quite.
The owner is a young gentlemen Komil who started his business from scratch and who maintains high standards of local tourists business right from the first day of the hotel's existence.
People at the hotel are extremely friendly. Since it is a small hotel, each guest is treated as a special person with all the required attention from the staff he/she can get.
The location of the hotel is great. It is right in the middle of the Old City of Bukhara and within short walking distance from the most of the attractions.
All in all, I had an amazing stay at K.Komil for a very good value. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to have a pleasant stay in Bukhara.

“Great location, beautiful house”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2010

This hotel is very well located, and the house is very nice, old Bukharan style, and there is a wonderful room for breakfast.

Nice staff.

“Potentially great, shame about the moneygrabbing tactics”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 July 2010

First of all the hotel is beautiful, our room was very comfortable, the service on the whole was efficient and professional, the cleaners cleaned our room to a degree i have never seen before, the breakfast was one of the best we had in Uzbekistan and served in a dining room that is unforgetable but we left with a bad taste in our mouth. The owner Komil had to be gently reminded that he had forgotten to give us our full change when we checked out and only after showing my wallet which had no $5 notes admitted his mistake. He offered to get us flight tickets to Almaty which he phoned, checked the price and quoted us prices 20,000 sum more than what we ended up paying when we bought the tickets ourselfs. This was the price before he added the hotels charge for purchasing the tickets 'which they had to drive to the airport to get' although we managed to purchase the tickets ourselves from an avia kassa just outside the old town 15 minutes walk away. We also got offered a taxi from the hotel to train station for 20 thousand although the correct price is closer to 5 thousand. Its fine to pay a little more for the convenience but trying to get your guests to pay 4 times the going rate for a taxi is beyond believable. Could be a great hotel if they cut out the sharp practices, stayed in much less appealing hotels in Uzbekistan but left with much better impressions due to the genuine warm hospitality.

“Great Place to Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2010

We had a beautiful room which took our breath away, and was comfortable and reasonably priced. Breakfast was served in a quite astonishing hall, and the meal set us up for the day. We had a power cut one evening for an hour, but this affected a large area of Bukhara. Best of all was the staff, especially Komil, whose help and support (and excellent English) knew no bounds. There is a lack of street lighting around the hotel but nevertheless the location is hard to beat. I'd definitely come back here and would recommend it to anyone coming to Bukhara.

The hotel came highly recommended by colleagues for outstanding service. The place is super authentic, and very charming. You really feel like you are a guest in their home and not at a hotel.
