“I didn't want to leave this lovely place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2010

I found this hotel from the website of Tourism Authority of Thailand and got a promotion rate so I booked it for my trip to visit my friend in Phitsanulok. It was sooo lovely that I didn't want to leave. The hotel was just newly built. I like it at the lobby, they lit an aromatherapy candle, it smell very soothing to me. My room, clean and comfy, has a view of the river. The bathroom was nice and all.
The breakfast at the restaurant was special. I chose to sit at the veranda outside, for a nice view. They served us carefully, started from a glass of orange juice and platter of fruits, followed by a bread basket with tea/coffee of your choice, then the cereal came, when i finished it was taken away and the main dish was served. The ingredients they used were all good. This I gave it a 5-star-rating.
The location was great too. not far from phitsanulok's tourist attractions. And the staff are very polite.
Seriously, I just can't think of anything I don't like about this hotel.

“Once in a lifetime experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 December 2009

We had a stopover at this hotel, between Bangkok and Chiang Mai and had one of the best experiences ever at this hotel. The welcome was warm and a personal touch was present in every detail. Rooms are terrific and staff always available for top end service.

“you won't find a better place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2009

In the past you can not find hotel with 5 star hotel amenities in Phitsanuloke. Now, this hotel is the first and only choice. Although one may find things to complaint about but if the person check things out at the other hotels around there he would agree with my opinion that this is the best accomodation in Phitsanuloke. It is small but very nice place and it should not be categorized as B&B as it is misleading. The service and staff are much better than other big hotels around there.

Pros:
High quality decor and bathroom amenities (5 star equivalent)
Very clean room bed and linen(5 star hotel equivalent)
Non-smoking throughout the hotel(it is very hard to find real non-smoking rooms in Phitsanuloke hotels) so it is good for kid.
Friendly staff
Perfect location with some riverview (though river is not that nice when the water is low)
Good quality breakfast and decor (you can tell this is a hotel with taste the way they serve your breakfast)
Free internet
Small library to relax but books/magazines are not that interesting

Cons
The prices (inc. foods') are much higher than other hotels around but it is worth the comfort and cleanliness and peaceful ambience you are getting.
Small safe
Small size restaurant downstair(they have second floor but we did not try)
They do not have buffet line at all in the morning so things have to be ordered one by one. Although, it took time but you feel great if you are not in rush mode.
Pool is not exposed to sun so it can be cool to swim and not good for one who like sunbathing

“a nice place but some issues should be ironed out”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2009

This is probably the top hotel in Phitsanulok with respect to the decor and so forth. It is a boutique hotel with not too many rooms.

The location right by the river and near the big temple is quite good. And for Loy Krathong the festival is set up almost right outside the front door.

Breakfast was included in the rate and was fairly basic. The small restaurant serves Thai and Italian food. My meal there was OK, but nothing to write home about.

You need to have your keycard inserted in the slot for any of the electricity to work. So the room gets hot and stuffy in this tropical climate when you are out and about. But it does cool down fairly quickly.

Lighting in the bathroom is nearly non-existent. Just a single comact fluorescent bulb in the ceiling over the sink. So it is very dim in there. I also did not have any hot water on either morning of my stay but did have in the evening.

The outside corridors are quite hot as well. There is a large gap under the door so I was a bit concerned about insects which are plentiful in the corridors but I did not have any trouble in the room.

The el-safe in the room is tiny. Big enough for your passport and a little cash but not much of anything else which makes them basically worthless. You cannot fit a small laptop in there or any sort of camera beyond the most compact. But I believe the staff are trustworthy.

The staff are very friendly and hospitable as is the case throughout Thailand.

Wireless internet is free and works well. There is a flat screen LCD TV mounted on the wall which gets a few channels.

Overall I thought this place was OK, but Phitsanulok really does not offer much choice when it comes to hotels.
