We stayed here for 5 nights on our honeymoon knowing it was a barebones property on phi phi, what we did not expect was the terrible rude service. Every evening when we returned to the hotel we would be hassled by multiple staff demanding to know if we were staying there and what our room # was like we were trespassing or something. Cleaning staff took away our buckets that we were saving as souvineers. Also one day we wanted to trade our wet beach towels for dry ones, we were told only one towel per guest per day, even though there was a Hugh pile of clean towels behind the desk!! At check out we were delayed as they checked the contents of the room, we were accused of stealing an umbrella, which we didn't even touch, it was miraculously 'found' when we asked to speak to the manager! We spent 2 weeks in Thailand and had great experiences with everyone And everything, this hotel was the only thing we would have done differently, be warned spend a few extra dollars for a decent place.

We booke this place the night before to be our Phi Phi home for 3 nights and were impressed with the entrance of the place and the handy short walk from the pier!

The rooms were all wooden cladded, small but well kitted out and had a log cabin feel.

You had to go to the gym to make use of the free wifi, but the gym is brilliant, very modern and free to make use of. It has maybe the best view of any gym in the world an was quite a surpire to find such a modern well equipped gym here. Think it's the main gym on the island.

Free breakfast buffet was great on the beach pretty much. We did 2 days of snorkelling using the taxi boats and we just loved it and visting the islands.

All in all a great choice although my girfriend discovered a mouse in the room as well a a cocroach that came through the vents in the bathroom and I also suffered with a few mozzie bites. However I'm not sure if any of this really can be said to be the hotels fault as you'll likely get this anywhere although they failed to clean at the back of the TV which may not have helped. The pool right outside or room was pretty handy and the staff were fine!

The sooner you realise that that there is no such thing as 'budget' accommodation at Koh Phi Phi, the better off you will be.That said, we were proud, that we picked Banyan Villa for our 3-night stay. For one, this hotel is right in the centre of the island, a 5-minute walk from the main pier and it runs, arguably, the best restaurant on the island. The rooms are spacious for the price and have a hint of Thai charm. The housekeeping is efficient and there's a spiffy health centre at your disposal. The swimming pool is fairly basic, which has copious amounts of chlorine in it and we wish that the hotel considered adding a few more sun chairs, but then again, chances are, you will want to spend your time at the pristine beach. You won't regret Banyan Villa, once you take a look at the hotel facades around you and the crowds that throng the hotel's only restaurant called Tonsai Seafood. The food is tremendous, with a live seafood counter and not a patch on anything else on the island.

Room tip: The hotel offers two types of rooms, Garden and Banyan Wing. The Garden Wing rooms are tiled, on the ground floor and so, will tend to be cooler than the Banyan Wing rooms that are wooden and located on the first floor. Almost all rooms overlook the swimming pool and have a verandah or balcony but you might not want to take the rooms at the back, cause sometimes the noise from the bylanes filters in.

We stayed for 3 nights , we didn't have no problems. Clean, good location centre of everything , nice size rooms . The only negative is not many beds round the pool only 6 so if you are pool people I wouldn't recommend this hotel . The wifi connection isn't good either but wasn't a problem to us . We enjoyed our stay .

We stayed there for 5 nights at the beginning of March. This is more expensive hotel, probably the price do not correspond to the services, anyway we enjoyed the staying there. The location of this hotel is perfect, you are in the "centre" of Phi Phi Don Village and when you enter the hotel you are in the beautiful quiet garden with big swimming pool. Hotel has very luxury fitness center. Everything is clean, rooms are not so big, but everything necessary is included. The only problem was internet, as wifi was only in the fitness center. But I think the reason was, that there are so many hotels on such a small place. You have to walk for some nice beach, but it takes just 5 minutes :-) Very friendly staff and delicious breakfast!

Room tip: We had Banyan wing in the first floor and it was very calm place, near to the reception, I can recommend.
