Here is a summary in brief from our experience at Narima:
Location: The resort location is nice has it's private beach and wonderful sunsets everyday. It is a big property with 3 rows of bungalows on the hill. Quite a lot of walking and plenty of steps.Their landscape is way too much jungle. Plenty of trees and all but since no-one cleans up the dry and falling leafs, the place is full of mosquitos.
Accommodation:The bungalows are ok pretty basic. There is minibar fridge and AC. The bathrooms are really basic, semi closed always full of mosquitoes. At least there is warm water although the pressure is very low. The housekeeping is to be fired. Every single one of them. Dirty dirty, but we are in Thailand right?
Pool: Children love it. Our kids used the big pool because the children pool looked really dirty. I have not seen anyone to clean it not even once in 10 days
Breakfast: Breakfast was everyday same not a change in in one bit. Eggs, toast, strawberry jam, even the choice of fruit was everyday same. Breakfast time was till 10 am, but they would everyday stop bringing food at 9:30 in spite being with full occupancy in the peak season.

Food: We got food poisoning from their soup and when I went to report it no one was interested or cared. The Thai food in the restaurant is good, the western food is at your risk.

Service: Not existent. I had to literally go and take menu or cutlery by myself. I asked one of the waiters to warm up the milk in the microwave and saw him how he is trying it by putting his finger in the bowl. Yak!

We would definitely not go back there. Sorry, but not recommendable.

My wife and I found this place based on reviews here, and we keep commenting on how lucky we were to end up staying at this resort. This was especially true after seeing other resorts on Ko Lanta and Ko Phi Phi. We liked just about everything about this place. The bungalows are a good compromize between a traditional bamboo look and A/C convenience. The private beach is very nice, as is the infinity pool overlooking the ocean. We found the service very friendly and the food very tasty (especially the pineapple pancakes in the morning!). We stayed in the "C" row and found it to be very nice - all bungalows are in a jungle setting on the hillside with "A" rows having views of the ocean. I will mention that the bathroom is outside of the A/C treated room, so while it is attached to the bungalow and under the same roof, it is "outside" climate wise. The style of the resort gives you the impression of primitive, traditional-style structures, but with modern conveniences such as a concrete floors, electricity, and A/C. As such, we did see ants in the bathroom, but the room itself was immaculate.

Room tip: Bungalow B2 lies essentially at the top of a short stairway that leads directly to the beach.

We loved this place and stayed for more than 2 weeks! The restaurant served the best food we have had in Thailand on any of our trips. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The relaxing and jungle-like atmosphere was what made this place outstanding. The beach was a bit rocky but clean and we liked it. We can recommend this to anyone going to Ko Lanta, rather than going to any of the busier beaches further North.

The restaurant has good Wifi but not in the rooms.

Room tip: We were happy with a B-row bungalow.

We still treasure the memories of the wedding of our son, Tristan to Sophie at the Narima in 2010. So when we found ourselves back on Thai soil, we decided to spend the last few days of a six week holiday there. A perfect end to a wonderful spell in Thailand. The hotel is simple and rustic, quiet, comfortable and relaxing. It's very easy to make the bungalows your home as they are spacious and light with plenty of storage space and a fridge for cool drinks. The verandah has hanging space for washing and a tempting hammock and easy chairs in which to stretch out for a spell of reading or an afternoon siesta. The beach is surrounded by rocks and wonderfully quiet - often we were the only two enjoying a swim or a stroll. The food at the Narima is delicious and every meal was a delight. Cocktails in the bar on the beach after a massage is a wonderful way to start the evening. Exploring the island on the motor scooters which you are able to hire from the hotel is great fun! Some may say that the Narima is not as sophisticated as the numerous international hotels that are springing up everywhere but that is why it is such a gem. Simple, romantic, comfortable with a lovely atmosphere.

We spent a great 10 days at the Narima. The atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful, the staff friendly and helpfull.
There is no pretention at the Narima. The bungalows are simple but work well. We loved our partial sea view veranda. Mosquito spirals are a must evening time however, but all you need to do is ask for one.
Besides the beautiful view of the pool and the pretty little beach the restaurant also offers excelent food. And evening time the beach bar provides the perfect place from which to view both the sunset and keep an eye on the children as they play on the beach while you sip your drinks.

We long to go back!

The bungalows in the south of Ko Lanta are very beautiful!! it is very calm in the south (to do some party it is better at long beach further north). the bungalows are very clean and big (we stayed in c-row which is much cheaper and as good as a-row). the rooms get cleaned every day and you will receive every day new towels and 2 water. the bungalows have aircon, a fan, a minibar and an balcony. the food in the restaurant is delicious!! the hotel owns his own private beach (to get in the ocean you have to get over some stones first.. but this is not disturbing). the pool is not to big but you have a jacuzzi in addition!!
i just can say that i will come back next year!!
