I was pleasantly surprised by the Country Inn & Suites hotel; the staff was very friendly, and out of a 3-week tour of India and 8 high-end hotels, it was only one of two hotels which had free internet access. This was garnered at a stand-up computer in the lobby area, but sets CI&S a notch above in my book. Additionally, they are home to a 24-hour cafe on the ground floor, which - after a long day of travel - was able to provide a quick and tasty pizza at not-absurd rates.

The rooms were clean, well-appointed, and featured exceedingly comfortable beds (which, after a year of regular old Indian mattresses, was a treat). Water was provided in the rooms, and it was - all in all - a fantastic lodging. While normally out of my price range, if I was put in an opportunity to stay there again, I would absolutely return.

Nice location of the hotel in heart of city .Hotel is very near to amritsar railway station & shopping areas.Rooms are very well maintained and cleaned.Staff are very polite and helpful. The hotel facade could be well more lighted and hoarding also could have been more clear and big. Food is OK. tariff also reasonable .Nice choice for foregin travellers visitng amritsar.

we booked our accomodation at this hotel to celebrate new year with family for two days. check in on 31 dec was very smooth, courteous staff, found rooms quite clean, well kept. staff gave all the information about attari border, golden temple,. hotel is situated almost in mid of the city, quite close to golden temple. Except disturbance in night on 31 Dec ( perhaps anticipated too) every aspect of the hotel was good. Reception is quite small.
