This hotel, frequently visited by business travelers is a good choice if you're looking for a good business hotel that meets all western standards. Rooms are clean and come with all amenities you'd expect: TV, air-condition, bath with shower and bath-tub, minibar, safe, etc. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. My room was unfortunately close to the elevators, which can be a bit noisy at times. Staff in the hotel are very professional and friendly. There are 3 restaurants in the hotel: the largest one with an Indian buffet (quite bland by Indian standards) or a la carte, the second one with dishes from east Asia and Japan and a smaller one mainly for sandwiches and cakes. There is also a bar, which despite looking good, is often quite empty. The breakfast buffet offers a wide choice of Indian, english as well as continental foods. Service in this restaurant varies greatly: sometimes the staff is hyper-attentive to the point where they become a nuisance, sometimes you have to wait quite a while before being served. The one thing that annoyed me is the fact that despite the already high room charges, the hotel charges quite a hefty fee for wifi access. Overall a good, though somewhat expensive choice if you're looking for a hotel with western standards in Panaji and do not need a view over the sea.

Taj Vivanta in Panaji is ideally located in the heart of the city; almost equidistant from north and south Goa, close to the Miramar beach and Casinos of Goa. Travelers can enjoy sumptuous breakfast and take day trips to the famous beaches, namely, Calangut, Anjuana, Benelium etc, as well as to other places of interest, like the world heritage site of St fracis Cathedral, Mangeshi temple and the Spice Garden. Spice Garden is an interesting place, where tourists can see and learn about the Indian spices and their medicinal properties, with the help of well informed guide. Tourists can also experience Elephant rides.

Visiting Goa and looking for a place that is nice but does not break the bank, go for Vivanta by Taj. It is in the heart of Panjim and is a very nice property. You will not be on the beach, but a taxi ride to the beach is not expensive. Rooms are nice, modern and spacious. Has an OK spa.

The total ambience and team at the hotel jives well with the approach. It is totally proffessional and does not give you the feeling of rigid systems.
Theuniform of all the staff (including security) and teh interiors add to teh coolness of the environment.
Excellent proactive staff right from the entry to the room and all around.
