Friendly owners on site. Great pool, short stroll to beach, It was a perfect retreat from life with quiet and calming atmosphere. The food was reasonable and delicious. Don't miss chatting with owners and seeing Violetta's art. A Paradise in Guatamala for a working person's fee.

I`ve just returend from My 2`nd visit to this excellent hotel. The thing I love about this hotel is the comfort of aircon, TV, a big pool, clean surroundings, friendly staff and owners. Absolutly the only place I`ll stay in Monterrico.

The big pool give You a chance to enjoy Your swimming.

The host and the hostess were easy to communicate with and helped us with our wishes.

The food were the best we got in Guatemala. We loved their delicious meals of fishes and shrimps. Best of all was the the dessert: Icecream with flambee tropical fruits.

Frankly a terrible experience. The hotel bills itself as one of the best in Monterrico with prices to match but the lack of quality is shocking.

Rooms that we stayed in were a disaster...shabby, paint peeling of walls, no furniture apart from a bed and chest of draws (where r u meant to hand your clothes?). The bed advertised as a double was really a single with a couple of centimieters added on. Bed linen stank, towels were torn, no hot water EVER, owner would not take cards despite having a VISA/Mastercard machine instead insisting on cash, voodoo accounting when settling bill.....the list goes on.

On the bright side the rooms have air con, TVs with full Sky package (although do u really watch much TV when in Monterrico??) and the pool was nice and clean.
