First time trip to Sharm El-Sheikh in January and I was highly delighted. I had read reviews on the Hotel prior to the holiday and I was a little concerned by some of the comments on the food drinks and the hotel itself. What a contrast! The food was excellent and presented beautifully. The whole staff were helpful, friendly and engaging. The drinks, spirits,beers and wine were excellent.The rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard. The reception staff were also very accommodating to any requests for advice on the surrounding areas.
This is the first time I have written a view on trip advisor, but felt compelled to do so due to the negative comments made by some that have visited the Sharm Grand Plaza, I honestly do not know what they have to complain about. If you have booked or are looking for somewhere to book then do not worry about this place..It is truly outstanding!

well just arrived back from this hotel on monday 6th feb after one week at this great hotel
the food was excellent and the staff are excellent and they could not do enough for you
the reception staff are fantastic well some are
there was one reception worker was outstanding and he knows who he is
i forgot his name and i even wrote it down to remember but never mind
one of the managers i think was a little grumpy if you read this he will know what i mean

in the riviera restaurant the food was fantastic and the british buffet was excellent beef wellington steak and kidney pie shepards pie
and the manager was excellent always asking if you meal was ok
the beach is very clean and tidy the life guards are very good
over all a excellent hotel

We stayed here in January with 3 other couples. We are well travelled and enjoy fine wines and food. Previously my wife and I have been to Cairo and have also enjoyed a Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan.
We met Dave Bucklow who was travelling alone and we agree with his excellent recent review. The staff at this hotel were exceptional - always helpful and very friendly. There was an excellent choice of foods at all mealtimes with a themed night each night [Italian, British, Indian etc] but with plenty of alternatives for the less adventurous. I like a full english breakfast as much as the next man, but there are no pork products available [predominately muslim country] -so what? get over it - when in Rome.... there are plenty of alternatives...boiled eggs, omelettes, delicious breads and quite simply the most delicious freshly baked croissants I have ever tasted. Wine is suppable, but we resorted to G & T's for most of the holiday.
The complex is excellent, very clean and beautifully landscaped [gardeners at it every day] with the grounds extending to the shore.
Thanks must also go to Mr Diver [esp Ahmed and Syed], for the best day of the holiday, a fantastic full-day boat trip with excellent food and diving [worth going even if you don't dive].
Do not be put off by the current troubles in Egypt - these are predominately in Cairo, and more recently, Port Said - well away from these Red Sea resorts. These staff need and deserve your support - we would not hesitate to return to this excellent hotel.

Just returned yesterday after a beautiful week at the Sharm Grand Plaza. I read all these reviews before travelling and was a bit anxious, but I honestly don't understand where these comments come from. The ground are beautiful, when you read this you don't appreciate the importance of beautiful colourful grounds but it does make a difference. I cannot express how lovely the resort is -the beach, the spacious room, the heated pool and the bars.

The food was delicious and varied, every meal of the day, but granted not typical UK food which is to be expected when in Egypt. Fresh dates, feta cheese, fresh salad, omlettes to your taste, traditional Egyptian tagine dishes as well other varied meals. The service in the main dining room was excellent, the staff were extremelly attentive in re-filling your glass or carrying your food to your table. Bahaa - the manager of the dining room runs a tight ship and was very professional - thank you. At the end of the day you get the service you deserve and staff are not as attentive if you are rude and disrespectful.

Would definitely return to this beautiful resort. Thank you all.
