We got back last night from this hotel, and I thought I would share the experience as always.
We had booked this hotel as we have stayed at the Tropicana Grand Azure and this is the same chain of hotels, also it is graded as premier so we were looking forward to a really great experience.
We arrived to be greeted by the usual very professional, friendly staff. We always upgrade the room choice on arrival so we did and we were shown to the Junior suite and were not dissappointed, the rooms are very large with a walk in wardrobe and a huge marble bathroom, the bedroom and the sitting rooms are divided by a tv that swivells round so it can be watched from either end of the room and the balcony overlooked the beach and the pool, very impressive indeed.
When we upgraded at the Tropicana we were also upgraded into a private restaurant and a private sitting room for the use of the people that were occupying suites, so obviously we were expecting the same treatment here, but ohh no. We were told that to use the Executive Lounge as they called it we would have to upgrade to Ultra inclusive, this cost us another £160 for the 6 night we had left. We are normal working people but like a bit of luxury when we get away so we paid it!
There is no Exec restaurant the food is served in the lounge and is lacking in choice, we ate in this lounge twice and left the food both times as it was not up to scratch,(one of those times I only had a club sandwich, which was awful) both times we ended up eating in one of the other self serve places as the choice was vast and the food excellent, they also claim that you can get all day snacks and drinks in the exec lounge, which from what I could tell meant that the food stood out all day until it was eaten or thown away as it never seemed to be changed, the choice was either small 1 bite sized filled rolls covered with cling film or small 1 bite sized cakes, with coffee or tea from a machine, Ali the guy that works in this lounge is lovely and we did enjoy his company but in my opinion the Ultra inclusive package is a rip off and this facility should be included in the room upgrade price just like the Tropicana, oh, we did get a plate of fruit sent to the room which in our case was past its best and a few cans of fizzy pop, and they provided us with dressing gowns, our advice would be dont upgrade to ultra inclusive
The beach was lovely although they did not provide wind breakers which are essential as there is always a wind, this is the 5th time we have been to Egypt every time its been windy.
The rooms and the hotel grounds are kept spotlessly clean, there are themed restaurants which you can use one night for each, we tried the Italian, ok, the Indian not good and the Chinese which was excellent, the other restaurants are spacious and very good with a vast choice of very good food.
All in all this is a good hotel but not up to the standard of the Tropicana so "What makes this a premier hotel?"
I did meet with Sue Horner the lady that answers the review on here for the hotel and she did sit and listen to my concerns and feedback but it wasn't until I was on the way home that I realised although we had discussed my concerns I did not come away with any feedback from her!! Lovely Lady though.
Room Tip: We stayed in room 21103 great views of beach pools sunshone into the room all day.

Dear Jayne
It was a pleasure meeting you whilst you were here and thank you once again for taking the time to feedback you experience and expectations. I apologise for not reciprocating with feedback, I think I was distracted with the very interesting chat of our familes and thier various triumphs.
After we had met, I compiled my notes and created a report which was sent to the General Manager and the Executive Chef for review. This week we will have a meeting to discuss the whole concept of Ultra All Inclusive and how it compares to the Ultra All Inclusive offered by other hotels, both in and out of the chain of Tropicana.
May I explain the word "Premier" The Royal Grand Azure is managed by "Premier Egypt Hotels" Premier is the name of the group and the other 2 hotels which have opened to date are Premier Le Reve and Premier Romance. We are a subsidiary company within the Tropicana brand.
I do hope that you will consider returning to the hotel at some future date, if only to see if we have improved ourselves.
Kind Regards
Sue Horner
