This is clearly a step up from the other hotels in Goma, with a pool, nice bar and restaurants, and packed full of NGO staff! It really is a western standard resort at a good price. Not too sure about the working girls who seem to appear at night, though!

We got robbed while staying at the hotel as things went missing from our hotel room.
When we told the manager at the reception he couldn't care less and just said we probably misplaced the things.
In general the service is terrible, rude people at front desk who instead of trying to help they just dont care and rathermake you wait one hour for any nonsense.
Will never stay there again especially as there are many other options in Goma for the same price.
Also the hotel rooms are old, the AC doesnt work in some rooms

Hotel Ihusi has many advantages, such as gorgeous location, clean rooms and swimming pool. However, the flaws are so significant that I would definitely not recommend it to a friend. Now I am not just thinking of the AC that leaked water onto the TV, the fridge that did not function or the hair dryer that was out of order. I am not even referring to the safe, which was locked and impossible to use. When I asked at the reception, they informed me that the manager could help me with the safe, but he never showed up. No, I am referring to the fact that one of my colleagues lost a great deal of cash while he was at the Ihusi restaurant having breakfast. During the short period of time when he was away, someone had entered his room using a key and had broken into his suitcase. The fact that the management showed little or no concern about the crime which had been committed by someone using the hotel's key to the room is the the worst part of the story.

When speaking to other colleagues, I found out that some months ago, one of them had lost a bag with money and documents in it while having lunch at the restaurant. Despite the massive presence of guards, nobody had seen anything. Thus, thefts do not seem to be unusual incidents at Hotel Ihusi.
