We very much enjoyed our three nights at this Hotel. The Hotel's location was simply excellent...right on the Old Town harbor. Our third floor room had beautiful views of the harbor, the central fountain, the Old Town and the islands just off the 'mainland'. As was described by other reviewers, the room felt tired, the furshionings stressed by age. However, the room was spacious for a European hotel, the beds comfortable, a good size bathroom with tub and shower, working air conditioning and television. We were satisifed. The breakfast was tasty and satisfying with good variety, and being able to sit outside on a covered patio was wonderful...and on a windy day, we were comfortable inside the restaurant as well. As with any Hotel stay, so often the experience is shaped by the Staff. We so enjoyed interacting with Borko, who ran the front desk. He was knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, was very service oriented, and had a wonderful sense of humor. We felt in good hands, with Borko...the Hotel has a gem of an employee in him. If you don't mind modest furnishings and no elevator, however, want an excellent location and helpful staff, you'll be happy with your stay at this Hotel.
