This year we visited for the first time Croatia and we found this 4 star hotel where we booked a11 day halfboard stay. We were very pleased with this hotel and the location. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Excellent room service. Good breakfast and diner. Ideal place to stay if you are looking for a relaxed vacation in Istria/Porec. Free parking and wifi.

The city of Porec is very nice. I think the most beatiful place in the region.
The Valamar hotels are really professionally managed.
The beach is very nice. You shouldn't expect to a beach with sand or something, there are rocks, but the beach is very nice arranged. There is a part somehow in the care of Valamr hotels that has a children playground.

We have spent one week in this great hotel (family with two children aged 9 and 3). We had two connecting rooms, lot of space, clean, modern. Swimming pool clean, quite big, kids loved it. Nice surroundings, green, with children playgrounds and many activities. Restaurant excellent, staff friendly. Nice walk to the city (20 min). Hopefully we'll be back next year!

The hotel is OK with a few serious downsides: most of the rooms are interconnected with a door, so they can be rented together as "family rooms" and hotel stuff is not taking care who they are putting in which room. So my girlfriend and I ended up in a nice room, but next to the family with a baby that was crying from 6:30 in the morning. And as our rooms were divided only by locked door, we couldn't sleep. When we complained at the reception, they told us that the hotel is full and offered us to switch to really tiny (not more than 10 m2) room. To choose between two bad options ("sharing" a nice room with noisy neighbors, and matchbox-size quiet room) is not something I want for my vacation (and my money) so we checked out after only 2 days. The other downside is the stuff in the restaurant. They are completely confused and disoriented, we had to set table for ourselves every time, remind them to take away used plates etc... They should learn from their colleagues from Valamar Sanfior Rabac how this should be done!
