While this apartment has been highly rated on Trip Advisor, we see significant opportunity to provide a more pleasant experience to guests. The small deficiencies add up. We were provided with a mish-mash of small towels more suited for the kitchen than bathroom use. The shower nozzle had to be carefully positioned to stay in place. The air conditioning enters through the kitchen, forcing one to choose between sleeping with an open door or sweltering in privacy behind a closed door. Bedroom ceiling fans would have helped. As well, our bed came with only two small pillows. We were sharing with friends and had the small room, which provided too little space for a couple’s belongings and ease of manouvering. For a family with children, this would have probably been fine. The larger room was spacious and had a nice balcony. Both rooms had a beautiful view of the sea (although the window in the small room is the width of a door).
Be prepared for a 10-minute uphill walk coming back from town. Also, be sure to explore the coastline to the right as you face the sea – it offers better access to swimming, more privacy and more lounging options (you can rent chairs). For restaurants, we recommend Pjaca for breakfast and DiVino for a dinner with an elevated view of the water.
Ana and her husband were both friendly and helpful. They picked us up at the port and took us back for our ferry. With a few minor improvements and more attention to details, this could be a nicer place to stay.
