We stayed at Apartments Tomic in Cavtat as our base for exploring Croatia in mid-September. Both the apartments and the owners, Ivanka and Niksa, could not be nicer. Located on a hill above the town, the apartments are quiet and have an incredible westerly view toward the sea. Cavtat, just a ten-minute walk down the hill, is a sweet and scenic village, with plenty of restaurants and beautiful swimming areas. A short ferry or bus ride takes you into Dubrovnik, which is definitely worth a visit, but is very noisy and overrun with tourists from cruise ships. After several days in lovely Cavtat, we rented a car and explored some of the islands and Plitvice. Upon our return to Apartments Tomic, we were greeted like family by Ivanka and Niksa, who continued their incredible hospitality and generosity. Having the opportunity to get to know them and get an insight into life in Croatia was a highlight our our vacation.

In august 2011 we had a nice holiday in Cavtat! For 1 week we stayed in Tomic apartment B. The owners were very kind and helpful. Inside was everything we needed and it was very clean. We had a nice terrace with a great view, but it was a stiff climb to get there every day, that was less pleasant. A car would be good!

I liked the apartment. It was very clean and we had everything we needed. The terrace was nice too with a spectacular view. Restaurants are a 10 minutes walk down the hill and the centre of Cavtat is a 30 minutes walk. You need to be in 'good shape' to climb up the hill again. Ivanka and Niksa are very nice and gave us some advice. Dubrovnik is very easy to reach by boat or by bus (bus stop 3 minutes from the apartment). I would advice this apartment to friends.

Thank you very much for your kind hospitality and your warm welcome. We had a very good time and the apartment had everything we could hope for. Our stay was so good that we forgot to return home and now, at home we can’t wait to come back. At this moment thunder, lightning wind and rain is terrorizing us.
We also enjoyed the lovely talks until late night; you spoiled us with your local wine, cheese and fruits. Tonight I’ll remember you with a taste of your own made ‘yellow’ drink!
With the photo I took from the apartment I wish to underline how wonderfully life is in Cavtat.
