We had stayed with Family of 4 in a wonderful family run guesthouse with eye for details and mostly heartwarming place in Lijiang.

Besides travelling there in Feb after the Chinese New Year, we arrived there with terribly good weather during the day and cool in the evening, but certainly we were surprised that this guesthouse who served us so warmly was truly one of the highlights of the trip.
Little English available, but host/owner was so kind and had helped us with all the thinkable on a very personal level.

There is no real mid range hotel there, its either the luxurious 5 star chains that are operating there, and otherwise its the locally run guesthouses. This one was definitely one of the best IF not the BEST when comparing to the other alike guesthouses charging the rate.

Good for chilling, good to stay for short, but also longer stay. The rooms (since it opened late 2010) were unlike other local guesthouses really aiming for comfortable living in a great big space. What we enjoyed were the little details such as decoration, and the big size of the bathroom, sleeping area! Also, since in the night it was 6 degrees only, we really enjoyed the electric cover...
my whole family has enjoyed the stay, the family and felt truly welcome in this peaceful guesthouse, which was just located and the south entrance of Lijiang Old Town (where luckily it gets a little more quiet than when in the centre of it)

Go go go! Absolutely worth a visit!
