“Special experience in Blossom Hill Inn!”

Very special and lovely hotel with good location. Staffs were really helpful and friendly to take my luggage and someone can speak english to give me a guide for my travelling.
they went out of their way to make me feel at home and even arranged a free ride to the airport. Breakfasts were mainly Chinese, but the setting was nice. I like the room where we stayed, it's clean and unique with special decoration,of course, bed were comfortable. And there is a quiet and nice courtyard.

Room Tip: Hotel provide free pick-up service, but you should provide your flight number one day in advance.

“nice inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2011

Blossom Hill is gorgeous! It's small and simple, but has many exquisite little things. We stayed in Joyland and I like the countyard very much. You can drink the tea or just sit there chat with friends. Many differetnt bueatiful fllowers there, and also many pets. The bedroom is not very big, but feels well, especially the large bath, can let you totally relax.

Room Tip: Rooms beside the river are quieter.

“Very well located, nicely designed but pricey”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2011

Blossom Hill (unfortunatly when you get to Lijiang, no one will know it under that name) is a very nice inn in the middle of the old city; I was initially surprised that the bedroom have a big window open on the inner court -so during the day, everyone can see into your room-, but actually the design of the room is very carefully done. They say for example the bedding is same as Shangrilla hotel, the bathroom was quite nice, and the personnel very friendly.
However, I think the price I got online was quite pricey, during my trip to Yunnan all my other hotels were about a third of that when I got a rate directly at reception.
They do have a bigger Boutique hotel in the same street, I visited it it looked quite nice maybe even nicer.

“Just Gorgeous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2011

Blossom Hill Inn is simply beautiful! The hotel fits very well into the World Heritage old city, Lijiang and you encounter a Chinese experience unique to this wonderful town. The design is a Naxi residential layout and there are two locations belonging to Blossom Hill Inn. We stayed in "Joyland" which was a feast for the eyes from the moment we arrived at the door. Fresh flowers are abundant throughout the hotel and in the rooms and interesting antique furniture and individual decorative pieces. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings and tasteful Chinese decoration. We stayed in two different rooms during our 3 night stay as we prefer a bath tub which really needs to be specified but was difficult for us as the website is in Chinese. Our first room opened onto a large deck which overlooked the rooftops of Lijiang. The bathroom was a good size with a large rain type shower rose. The staff are all young and eager to meet your expectations and were able to move us to a room with a deep tub on our final night. This room had Chinese windows which overlooked a running stream. Both rooms were charming and well lit and appointed.

We were expecting an airport transfer on our arrival in Lijiang but I wasn't confident that it would happen as I had problems communicating with our booking agent. Consequently there was no one to meet us at the airport and we didn't have the hotel name written in Chinese. All the taxi drivers crowded around my husband but soon lost interest, but one driver was extremely helpful and rang the hotel for us. Cars are not allowed inside the Old City so he waited until Julia arrived to take us to the hotel. She is slightly built but insisted on managing my bags. Apparently she was not notified by the agent of our flight change which is why there was no one at the airport to pick us up. The staff were wonderful, smiling and friendly the whole time although only a few spoke limited English. One night they invited us to a barbecue which was held under the stars in the other building of the hotel which is a short walk from where we were staying. We enjoyed the evening dining at a long communal table, we were the only Western guests. Breakfast is also served in this building. We were quite satisfied with the breakfast, there were enough dishes familiar to our palate and the majority of the guest are Chinese so obviously the emphasis is on Chinese food. They also serve good coffee (if the machine is working) and Yunnan tea. We were sorry when our stay came to an end and would definitely return to Blossom Hill Inn. What can I say - treat yourself and stay at this very special boutique inn. Incidentally it is a member of "The small luxury hotels of the World".

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a bath tub. They have a variety, wooden, painted porcelain, modern deep and muc...

“Charming Inn in a quiet corner of Lijiang's old town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2011

Very cute and charming inn! The inn is located in Lijiang's old town, but in a quiet section that is a bit out of the center. The center of the old town and tourist sites are just a short walk away, but you are far enough away from the noise and crowds to really relax and enjoy your stay. The room was very cute and cozy and we really felt at home during our stay. My only issue was with the breakfast, which had only Chinese breakfast items most days (congee, vegetables, steamed bun/bread, etc). There were fried eggs every day and some western style bread rolls and pastry some days. Of course this is China and all of the other guests were Chinese. So, I really shouldn't complain.
Overall, we had a great experience and would strongly recommend this inn to anyone going to Lijiang! One warning...Be prepared for a long walk with your luggage, as no cars are allowed in the old town area and the inn is a bit far from the main road and not very easy to find. We needed to call the inn and the staff came to find us and help with our luggage.
