“Lousy for takeout.”

We just tried Matuba for the third time, and we've had a bad experience each time. Maybe they just don't care about takeout, but the sushi has been sub-par each time. Salmon nigiri was from a tough, chewy corner of the fish and the eel unfresh and inedible. A crab california roll was ok. My husband's chicken teriyaki made him sick. What a disappointment since we recently moved to the neighborhood.

When you walk by the restaurant it doesn't look so good, but the food is so yummy!! The service is excellent. I highly recommend the redstone roll. The saki is also delish!

Good sushi, traditional Japanese dishes & green tea icecream--but also have many other hot items--esp. on skewers. Good if someone in your party is not big on sushi.
