I was looking to take a short 2 day trip to Aiken and Augusta, and needed a decent hotel. This Quality Inn was highly rated on here, and most of the reviews were positive. I used a AAA rate and got a room for $55, cant beat that. Easy to find, right off the road, next to a McDonalds, across the street from a Wal-Mart. Upon check in, I mentioned the jacuzzi. The lady said it wasnt working right and it wouldnt be open. Upon going to my room, I found it to be a double bed room. I went back down and advised her of that. I had booked a queen room, so i preferred one bed. She switched me to a king room. The room itself was nice, with a sofa, fridge and work desk. The computer desk was high, but the computer chair didnt go high enough, so I worked off the coffee table and couch. Wireless internet was pretty speedy. TV was older tube type, but got a great selection of channels, inc Speed! Room looks remodeled, with newer furniture and art work. Bed was comfy, pillows were a bit soft and lacked substance. Bathroom was clean, water was hot, water pressure in the shower lacked a bit, but it had a nice shower head. The rooms are outside entrance only (no inside corridor), and never had an issue with noise. Free breakfast was good, usual stuff w/ waffles, eggs, sausage etc... and it opens at 5:30am for you early birds and ends at 10 for us late sleepers. Staff seemed friendly, though at check out, the cleaning person insisted on vacuuming a rug when someone was trying to check in and I was checking out. Overall, it was a GREAT stay for $55, and I would stay here again.
