We found a deal online which sounded suspiciously too good to be true and it was. Buy one night get the second free at Penn Estates Resort in a 2 bedroom villa. The registration facility was old, the staff were very friendly. We checked in and were given our Villa key and a TV remote (maybe guests run off with the remote if its left in the villa?) We drove up to a run down home in obvious need of fixing up. The front door knob was so loose it took special maneuvering to unlock it - inside we were speechless at what we saw. Decrepit sums it up. Old 1970's decor that hasn't been kept up or even cleaned particularly well. Multiple lights did not work, the stove/microwave fixture wasn't working, the place smelt musty, and the sofas looked grubby. We were depressed at the place, but it was late and we made the best of it. We were supposed to stay 2/20-2/22 but checked out in the morning (2/21). Too disgusting to stay another night. At checkout we informed them the place was too awful to stay another minute. They were polite and apologetic but we doubt anything will come of it. People contemplating this place need to read this review to know what's in store for them.
