“Our honeymoon destination.”

We loved every our time at Green Springs Inn. We spent 4 days in in the Boccard Point cabin in March 2011. We loved our private, little cabin in the woods.

What we loved:
The cabins were very beautiful and it was clear that someone had carefully thought through what a person would need when they stayed there. The hot tub on the deck was amazing...nothing like a long soak in the hot tub while snow is falling outside. The shower was also wonderful. We also really enjoyed the food. A lot. The chef seemed to really enjoy his job and he made delicious and creative dishes that never left us wishing we had ordered something else (we at breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant).

What could be improved:
The grounds are a bit unkempt. A nice layer of snow still didn't cover the piles of wood and misc. items around the property.

Overall! We highly recommend this place and we're already planning on spending our One-year anniversary back in Boccard Point. Love this place.

“Exceeded expectations!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2011

Like many Travel Advisor members, I suspect, I spend hours researching accommodations & once I make a reservation, keep fingers crossed that the property lives up to the photos. Well, Green Springs does, and more. We stayed in Boccard Point. I have always wanted to stay in a treehouse, but realistically, most of the ones I've seen are too "rustic" for me & this seemed much more my style.

We felt like we were living in a house. To be in a space that is so light and airy, while surrounded by beautiful firs, was simply an amazing treat. I especially noted the attention to detail, not only in the cabin design, but with the interior -from razors in the medicine cabinet to hooks for coats on the spiral staircase, near the door. I also loved the slate bathroom upstairs and the smaller bathroom downstairs - that worked out perfectly for the 2 of us.

The only "problem" with staying is such a wonderful cabin is that we did not want to leave, and found ourselves with less time than we would have liked to explore the beautiful and interesting surroundings. We were fortunate to have met Paddy and his friends as soon as we arrived, in the restaurant, and got good advice to take the scenic route through the vineyards to Cave Junction. And, the town of Ashland is also a must - it is adorable & lots to do.

My only note of caution is that if you are not used to driving winding roads, be aware that the 17 mile drive up is an increase in elevation, with many twists and turns. We ended up doing the climb at night, and it might be easier during the day.

Room Tip: Look at Green Springs' other site - cabinet of wonders. That site has more detailed photos.

“Great Getaway!”

We had a great one-night stay at Green Springs Inn, and we wish we would have made arrangements to stay longer. We stayed in the Chinquapin cabin and it was lovely. The cabin was immaculately clean and modern. The bedroom had a king size bed. I chose to sleep in the loft, a little daunting on my first climb up the ladder, but it was a comfortable futon and private space.

The area is quiet and was perfect place to relax. We decided not to cook in the cabin and instead went to the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The food was good and very reasonably priced. The owners/operators of the Inn are warm and helpful.

Overall, this is exactly what my friends and I were looking for. A nice place to hang out, have cocktails and play board games. The price was so reasonable for where we stayed. I will go back in a minute.

I will agree that the Inn is not located in Ashland. It took us 30 minutes to get to the Inn from downtown Ashland. It was well worth the short drive.

“A gem in the mountains”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2011

We stayed at the Boccard Point cabin and were blown away by the attention to details and well appointed features. It was warm, inviting and really seemed to capture every last need and want. We loved the airiness, openiness and well constructed building. It was absolutely better than most vacation rentals I have seen. At night, it was pitch dark and silent, with the exception of some coyotes. :) The food at the Lodge was delicious, service was excellent, and we wish we had more time to spend exploring the area. I would totally come back here and have been raving about it to my friends.

“Not what we expected”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2011

After reading the reviews we felt this would be a little ShangriLa after a long drive from Arizona to Oregon. We were looking forward to sitting out on our deck with a wine bottle and a good book to relax after a long day driving. We did stay in the lodge portion so I can't speak for the cabins. There was no deck and no view. To get to our room we had to push aside an overflowing large garbage bag of beer bottles and our room looked out at construction. I'm sure we would have been much happier staying in Ashland for a one night stay.
