“A heavenly location, the best in Turgutreis”

You could'nt get a better location in Turgutreis if you tried. Right on the beach and absolutely beautifull! Close enough to the town but far enough away you could hear a pin drop around the pool. Only problems, which were the ONLY problems were that the beds were hard and the bathroom was in need of a refurbishment and a bit of elbow grease! I really hope that when we go back there that these problems will be addressed because otherwise you can't fault The Ilknur. The staff go out of their way to help you feel relaxed and welcome. Turgutreis is a beautifull place but is spoilt by the hassell you get from the restuarant and bar owners, you find the ones that don't do this are the nicer places to go. Sams Bar and Restaurant, Ozzies Bar, Family Tree restaurant and Paddies bar we found were the most friendliest without all the hassell with nice food too. And if you dont feel like moving from the pool one afternoon they do nice lunches at the pool bar, try their salads, they're wonderful. Don't miss the market on a Thursday where you can get some real bargains if you barter and if you get a chance to go for a Turkish bath and massage, which you can book at reception, do, it's a great experience and not too expensive.

“Location, friendliness, cleanliness, a smashing family run concern, nothing too much trouble”

With large clean comfortable rooms, its own pool and situated on the seafront seperated from the small beech by a pleasant new promenade.
The small welcoming complex has great views of numerous small islands with fabulous sunsets.
Brief 5 minute walk to the resort & town centre leads to the new marina and park.
We chose a self catering break as we wanted to sample the local fare, we were not disappointed. A great treat was the Anatolyan restaurant immediately next door!
Great for a chilling out due to the attitude of the owners and staff, an excellent base from which to explore.

“Loved it!!”

Stayed at Ilknur from 5th October for a week. This was the last week of the season for this hotel. In fact as we left they closed the doors. We had a brilliant time. The weather was perfect, sunshine every day with a nice cooling breeze. It was a hop, skip and a jump to the small beach where we sat most days watching people from the big AI hotels walking into town. Usually we had lunch at The Anatolian restaurant. Simple, fresh food brought to your sunbed. Who could ask for more?
We went on two boat trips. Both were excellent. The first was Destiny boat. Great bunch of guys working on the boat and not too many passengers, so not crowded and plenty of room. Later in the week we went out as guests on the Brothers boat. Once again this was first class.
Most evenings were spent in either Brothers bar or Tashs. Even tho it was near the end of the season the bars were quite lively and we even had a dance on a couple of occasions. Most restaurants seem to serve simillar food. We enjoyed Can, Mona Lisa and La Villa.
If I return I would stay here again. The apartment was clean and in an excellent position, on the beach and only a 5 minute stoll into town.
