Unless you are very fit and athletic I would not recommend these apartments. They are close to nightlife but you have to go up a VERYsteep hill nicknamed cardiac hill by locals and for a good reason. Once you get inside the complex you are then greeted by steps everywhere. We had over 60 steps to our room. Definitely no good for kids, elderly, disabled or coming home drunk. On the positive side the complex is lovely and staff friendly. The living room however does not have a ceiling light only a small wall light so can be very dull.Aircon is charged at £35pw which is very expensive. Although this sounds like a moan this really is a beatiful complex just in a bad location. Only a 2 minute walk to great bars and restaurants and 5 mins to beach. If you do fancy going avoid tour operators and book your own flight and search likes of travelsupermarket.com for accomodation. Cheap transfers can be booked online. Just Google Gumbet transfers. Gumbet is an amazing resort. Great nightlife for all. Forget anything you heard about Turkey being cheap. More expensive than UK. A vodka and coke costs about £3.50 for a very small measure. A coke is about £2. No happy huors like in Spain. If you only drink beer you are ok as about £2 a pint though it is usually watered down. Ask for a bottle. Best tips. Avoid travel agents. Take a taxi to supermarket and stock up rather than use local supermarket.. Enjoy best holiday resort ever. Bars great. Food great everywher particularly beach restaurants. For daytime and late night snacks there are loads of cafes that the locals use a few minutes away where you can get a kebab for 80p. On way baxk to UK buy all your drinks and food before you go to airport. Without a doubt Bodrum airport is the most expensive place on the planet. £3 for a coke, £5 for beer. £2 Mars Bar and £12 for burger and chips. You have been warned.
