“Beautiful Hotel away from the bustle of Bodrum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2008

This beautiful hotel in Torba, about 7 kilometers from Bodrum, is in a quiet beautiful spot on the beach adjacent to an old Byzantyne monastry dating from a loooong time ago.
We arrived late at night and the hotel had organised a driver to pick us up ( at our cost of course). The rooms are fantastic all overlooking the bay and the beautiful garden.
The restaurant is located ON the beach. We had dinner there quite a few times and there is nothing more romantic/beautiful than eating a delicious Turkish dinner 5 meters away from the waves licking the shore and with a sunset and view to die for.. Breakfast (included in the price) is also served in the same area and was excellent. Lots of choices of local delicacies as well as the usual western food.
The staff were excellent, sometimes we needed hand signals but always got what we ordered.
There is a jetty into the water where you can lie the whole day soaking up the sun intermixed with a dip in the water. The pool is beautiful and large and clean. Great to lie by when you get sick of lying on the jetty.
All in all an excellent hotel and we would go back in a flash.

“They charged us for tea and coffee making facilities in the room”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 September 2006

I have learned how difficult it is to give negative feedback for it has taken me a year.

There were magical things about Queen Ada - namely the decking and large bean bags and parasols at the water's edge. However we had three problems. 1. We did not go all the way to Turkey to eat our breakfast under cover - there were lovely tables by the water's edge. We were told breakfast was "inside" and when we said "If we move the table setting ourselves can we eat by the water's edge?" the waiters agreed rather surlily and did not help us set up the table on any morning. 2. We ordered Capuccino which again was reluctantly brought and often cold and then found that at the end of our stay we were charged for it! Fine if we had known but usually if you are not told it is extra, it is included in your breakfast. I accept we should have asked but the hotel is not cheap. We had come from the Maca Kizi where fresh orange juice was extra but we were shown a board with the cost and could therefore decide to have it or not. 3.The worst thing of all was that we were charged at checkout for the tea and coffee making facilities in the room - not room service - we made it ourselves with a kettle and sachets. We are widely travelled throughout Europe and the Far East and have never experienced this before. We DID refuse to pay for this and returned the sachets to them as we had our own anyway. It caused a big row at checkout. We would not go back. The rooms are lovely but there is no view of the sea and the balconies small. Most of the staff - reception and pool were great - it was only the dining staff with whom we had a problem.
The ruin once beautiful on the beach is wired off and not accessible - not the fault of the hotel but not attractive either. Walking along the beach we encountered some very mixed restaurants and noisy night clubs.

“Fanatastic Holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 August 2006

Our holiday at the Queen Ada was extremely relaxing and lived up to our expectations and to the descriptions and pictures shown on the hotel website. We had a spacious bedroom, great choice of good quality food and the pool / pier area was very clean, quiet and relaxing. The staff were extremely attentive, courteous and helpful. One of the best holidays we have ever had in Turkey. Superb!

“Queen Ada”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2005

Myself and my Girlfriend spent a week at the Queen Ada early in September. The hotel is set at the end of a large bay, which has some cheaper and less attractive hotels, but as you are tucked away at the end, you are not bothered by people from outside. It is a great place to go if you just want to relax. There are some activities - the hotel will order a boat to pick you up from the pier for watersports. The food was fantastic and the staff very friendly. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet, so loads of sleep was possible.

The pier is a good place to chill out on very comfy cushions which will be set out for you when you request - you can then dive straight into the sea when it gets too toasty! They also have double hammocks in the shade of the trees which we lay in to read and play backgammon. The food was also very good, with all sorts catered for. We walked to the other end of the bay for dinner one night, in a place where only Turks seemed to be eating, and had a delightful evening, including some interesting musical entertainment!

We really enjoyed our stay, but it's not a good place to come if you want to go clubbing every night. If you are a couple and you want to spend some time relaxing together, it comes highly recommended.
