We were in Ankara for a few days in early July, and opted to stay here instead of at one of the the larger chains. We selected this primarily because of its location, which was really central, even though as the main shopping avenue nearby has become very run-down and dilapidated.
The hotel itself is small, with dinghy and dreary looking hallways. Our room, even though it was supposed to be a 'larger, corner' room, was not very spacious, had a cramped entry vestibule, overlooked a dumpster at the rear of the property and was poorly lit even during the day. Housekeeping wasn't very efficient and the bathroom accessories weren't even replenished regularly.
Wi-fi only worked in the lobby and restaurant and never worked in the room while we were there. So everyday we had to go down to the 'business center' in the basement, to check mails, etc. There's a fitness center in the second basement but it closed early so end-of-day workout sessions were out of the question.
The only redeeming feature about the hotel was the scrumptious breakfast buffet and the reception staff who were very courteous. ( But be warned: their travel directions especially regarding Ankara's maddening traffic are pretty misleading. We were travelling out of the city for a day-trip and nearly missed our bus-connection from the City's central bus terminal because the concierge gave us completely erroneous directions)
