I simply cannot overstate just how great Le Sans Souci Guesthouse and its owners Jeanine and Hugues are. I have stayed here on three occassions and everything about each stay was wonderful. I recently stayed here with family when I got married in Seychelles. My wife and I, as well as our family's stay was made superb by the warm hearted and kind nature of Jeanine and Hugues. Their hospitality is amazing, something which really we have never experienced anything even close to before. My wife and I work in jobs which require us to stay in literally scores of hotels all over the world annually and neither of us have come across such great hospitality. The rooms are magical, the views are fantastic, the setting idealistic, and the value for money is 10/10. This is a home away from home. Simply perfect in every way. Thank you Jeanine and Hugues.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in late June and couldn't have been happier with our choice! Jeanine and her husband (I can't for the life of me remember his name!) were the perfect hosts, willing to discuss anything from politics to history and travel, while whipping up a fantastic meal! Some of the best food we ate in the Seychelles was cooked here. The rooms are beautiful and I couldn't get over that VIEW! In the evening it's nice to watch the fruit bats flying just past your balcony. The nicest part was definitely the car that comes with your room. Driving down the mountain (on the "wrong" side of the road) was a bit scary, but we're proof that it can be done safely and then you have a vessel in which to explore the entire island! I've never even heard of another guest house that provides you with a car! What a great idea, as I'm not sure how you could stay here without having a vehicle.

We absolutely wished we could have stayed longer at Le Sans Souci. So much better than any fancy resort!

Our flight from Doha arrived in the very early morning hours, so we were glad to be met at the airport and to watch the drive on, the other side of the road and the other side of the car than we were used to. The rooms are clean and bright and have all that is required. They face to the east, which is a good recipe for an early start for the day. A hire car is included..ours was in good shape and seemed to know the roads well. Breakfast is as simple or as hearty as you wish. We enjoyed the delicious tropical fruits and the homemade bread every day. The view from the dining room is great...the mountainside, the trees, the port, the sea and the marine park islands.
Dinner at Sans Souci is optional...but you would be foolish to opt for something in town. The restaurants are pricey and the food is only fair...dinner at the San Souci is three courses, delightful, with wonderful conversation. Sitting on the deck in the evening, watching the lights come on...and the fruit bats fly by is an exotic end to a day of exploring.
If you are looking for a variety of activities, Sans Souci is a great base of operations.

Enjoy!

No other place on the island. The owners are fantastic, vibrant , animal loving people who welcome you genuinely. You won't find food like this anywhere on the island. The rooms are perfect and comfortable and the cars are always in prime condition. Do yourself a favour.... GO! Most incredible view. Always have the time of my life

We had one spare night to spend on our trip, before taking our cruise, and we chose Sans Souci because they offered free pick up from and to airport and harbor. It proved to be the right choice. Their premises are great! If you prefer breathtaking views over seaside, this is THE place to stay. Way up on the Sans Souci road, the premises include a beautiful pool, a HUGE two-storey apartment. We chose the half board, so we had the chance to share dinner with the hosts and other guests. Sword fish, wine, an incredible atmosphere… all in all a memorable night under the stars in great company. They offered us one of their cars to use (which we didn´t). Great breakfast! Highly recommendable for people who want to forget about city life for a while. Walking distance to nowhere, but who cares, when you are atop Mahe island, with Victoria, the harbor, the jungle at your very feet?
