The good
1. The details: slippers, bathrobe, large safe, electrical adapter (we forgot ours!), kettle to make coffee and tea (complimentary), fridge, LAN cord, lots of electrical points, good lighting, good selection of toiletries. Mineral water provided, complimentary, but its safe to drink water direct from the tap. These may seem the usual list of stuff but put all together means we were never in need of anything.
2. Clean. Just clean white sheets, no old dirty top comforter cover that some hotels provide. Clean tub, sink and commode.
3. Very polite and helpful staff. Of special mention is the concierge who not only can give you all the info of tourist attractions and day trips, like how to go, when to go, how much, which mode of transport, tips on travel; they can even tell you why one way is more preferable to another and a little history. One staff even help us with the ingredients of a local specialty, okonomiyaki, when we want to purchase them from a nearby supermarket. The bell captain was very patient with us as we left our luggage there after checking out on the last day, but kept going back to get and store things.
4. Frequent (every 6 minutes) and convenient bus shuttle to Osaka station. The main transportation hub. We never had to wait long either way.
5. Free internet. LAN cord provided in room. Wifi in room and at lobby,...The good

The bad
1. There is only one English movie channel. Even CNN was translated into Japanese. What would non-Japanese business travelers who want to keep up with the news do? We were at this hotel on a conference. The convention centre was next door. So there are lots of international visitors. They need to make it more international traveler friendly.
2. The western buffet selection was not good in all aspects; cereal, bread, fruits, meats. We did not try much of the Japanese selection. We've had more variety elsewhere in this class hotels. Again consider international travelers. Not all are used to Japanese food.
3. Location farther from main attraction. But the free bus shuttle made up for this.
4. There is a little smell in the corridors but not in the room. Its not a bad smell. Maybe more like the smell of an "old" place.
There is a good supermarket nearby. There many restaurants on site but expensive. There are not many restaurants nearby. Better to take the shuttle to Osaka station and explore the food courts in the departmental stores. It was an amazing experience to explore the numerous Japanese foods in the supermarket. Its a window to the Japanese culture via food, and their meticulous attention to details.
Overall satisfaction with hotel makes this is good trip.More
