I booked this hotel on the hotels website which was fairly painless, This hotel is in a great location in the city, very close to the peace museum, the A bomb dome, downtown and the downtown trams. This is not a new hotel, however the location and the price more than compensated for the older style rooms, i stayed 3 nights with my wife and daughter in early february, which is why the tarrif was so reasonable being off season. We were assigned a corner room which was great as it was larger than a lot of the other rooms. Even though we were not on the river side of the building we could still see the river and the A bomb dome from our room. There was not a lot of English spoken amongst the staff, it was fortunate my daughter could speak Japanese. Lots of great restaurants near bye, we ate the local specialty (okonomiyaki ) at a great place 5 minutes walk from the hotel 2 nights in a row.Hiroshima is a compact city by Japanese standards and the trams are great and easy to use. I would suggest a day trip to Miayjima Island, and I would have loved to tour the Mazda factory, but there are no tours on weekends.I would stay at this hotel again (even if it doesnt have heated toilet seats).
Ask for a corner room, they are bigger
