Stayed at Grand Mercure for 2 nights.
Perfect location for visiting Xi'an.
Rooms were a little tired and felt like they needed a refurbishment.
Service was hit and miss.
Breakfast was over at the Sofitel (in the same complex and a much nicer property) and your standard buffet options.
Muslim Street and Warriors the Xi'an highlight!

My cousin & I stayed at this hotel for just a couple of nights in September. Primary reason for our visit was to see the "warriors". Upon arrival we were advised we had a free upgrade which was a lovely surprise and very welcome. The room although not overly large was very comfortable and clean. I really like the firm beds. The staff were very professional, helpful & pleasant. Only experienced the buffet breakfast which was excellent and highly recommended. Overall nice experience and would go back.

The hotel is located in the same complex with Sofitel and has a big nice garden area. The room was very spacious and nice. The bed was also huge and very comfortable. The Grand Mercure was a great change from hotels with average service and non-English-speaking staff in other hotels around China. The Accor standard of service was unmistakable. Concierge also helps provide taxis that can take you on tours with fixed prices that are agreed with the Sofitel management.
