I went to Majestic hotel with my father for a business trip. It is not huge in size but it is huge in height. My room was in the 35th floor. I had a perfect view from my room there. Rooms are very clean and modern. The stuff there were friendly, they helped us a lot to reach anywhere we wanted. They used to write the name of the place we want to go there on a paper so we can just show it to the taxi driver. The location was perfect, we had 2 HUGE malls in the same street, just 15 minutes walk maximum. I do really recommend this hotel for business trip. I also have to say breakfast was PERFECT!!!

The hotel is located near the computer city, where all the stuffs about computer and electronics can be found here. Hotel is linked to a shopping centre with supermarket at the basement. The hotel room is big, with large windows. The room is clean but i somehow feel that the carpet needs deep cleaning, not advisable to walk bare footed in the room. The bed is a bit hard and stiff, but overall is still acceptable. There is a counter on executive floor stating "visitor control", however i do not see any staff standing there and wonder how they control visitor with just a counter... The breakfast restaurant is located at the highest floor, where the view is spectacular. I can see cloud floating outside the window during cloudy rainy day. But the breakfast spread is limited and not really appetizing, anyway what more can we ask for, it comes free with the room. One more thing to say is the internet, it is veryyyyyyy slowwwww... it took me 30mins to load 2 emails and only 1 mail comes with attachment.

Majestic Hotel in downtown Tianhe district, Guangzhou, presented a comfortable introduction to the hustle and bustle encountered in this amazing city. First time travellers to China, we arrived with limited expectations. Firstly the room itself was everything we needed including our priorities, internet connection, laundry service and a comfortable bed.
We stayed on the 29th floor and our daily breakfast was provided on the 36th floor. Here was an absolutely amazing view of the city. Buffet style offerings each morning with a huge selection of both Western and Chinese food, tempted our appetite resulting in over eating more than our stomachs could handle!! The staff seemed friendly enough, although, as predicted, many had limited English, so sometimes difficult to communicate. The room was kept beautifully clean for the three night stay.
As we started to explore the area, we found a wonderful night market, over the bridge across the road. We followed the crowd along this lane way where we discovered little restaurants, clothing stalls etc. There were no tourist there, just Chinese. Adjacent to the Majestic hotel was the more upmarket Plaza shopping centre. Convenience plus.
It was easy to get a taxi out the front of the hotel, although, again, the language barrier was sometimes a headache.
The Majestic hotel was a four star hotel so the cost for us worked out around $60 AUD per night. Every time I went up and down in the lifts I was amused how the Chinese have embraced technology, providing flat screen televisions both inside and outside the lifts and also in most taxis. In summary I would have to suggest the overall experience here at this hotel was pretty good and certainly would recommend it to others.
