“European Russia style accommodation in Siberia”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2011

If you are looking for some unique experience in Siberia, you might surely want to consider Versailles. Perhaps this could be the place if you want to experience something Russian - its style and architecture. It is located in the very good corner of the city centre with lots of dining options around. All receptionists I encountered during my 3 nights stay including late night were able to communicate in English and helpful, which was great. Room size is quite acceptable but the single bed was quite small, which is typical. However, the high ceiling helped quite bit to feel the room spacious.

“Malcolm & Sarah”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

We stayed one night. The trip to the airport is long and difficult with road works. Double room was clean and spacious but breakfast was pretty basic and they were slow to resupply items which ran out. Quite expensive. Reception desk lacks charm and incredibly bureaucratic - we arrived tired and worn out at midnight but had difficulty checking in despite a booking and prepaid voucher - they were concerned that we could not prove where we had been registered the previous night as we had been aboard a ship.

“Best location in town. Good small hotel in a historical building with high ceilings”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2010

Stayed 7+ times since 2002. Very good in general, just make sure that you ask for a double room - they are much more spacious. Several good restaurants within walking distance, including Seven Samurai. Good staff, attentive - same people working for many years, nice, etc. But remember: although very experienced internationally, I am still a local Russian (Moscow), so a lot may be easier for me. NOTE like all good hotels at the Russian far east, they have smaller basins, etc - tailored for somewhat shorter Asian customers.

My first choice in Vladivostok, I do not like "monstro factories" like Hyundai.

“To avoid !! Very bad service and dishonest”

I spend 6 nights in this hotel (05/24/10 to 05/30/10) :
The only positiv aspect is the location for the rest :
- price of the room quite hight regarding to the quality of the room
- I arrived at 11 o'clock am the first day to make the check in and they oblige me to pay for another night (but they did not tell me that when I arrived)
- people unpolite at the reception
- poor breakfast
- the water of the mini bar was outdated (3 months)

“Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2009

I was in Vladivostok for one night. The hotel is located right on the main street, close to the bay, and has a supermarket opposite it. The room was comfortable, bed was nice, clean bathroom, and air conditioning worked well.

TV is basic, with 1 English channel. There is a minibar, and internet with a jack, but there is no wifi. Reception are very helpful but they did not have a map of the town - I would suggest people print a map before arriving.

Breakfast was excellent and service good.

I would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Vladivosotok.

I took a taxi from the airport to the hotel, which cost me RUB 2000. I would ask the htoel to organise a taxi in advance as it is cheaper. Going from the hotel to the airport cost me RUB 850. Always make sure you wear your seatbelts as speeds are high on the highway and accidents appear frequent.
