“Good 3* hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

The hotel is good choice if you want to see Moscow and money is a factor.
The biggest assets of the hotel are location, safety and cleanness. It is conveniently located just one metro stop outside Circle line. At the metro exit turn left and climb 15 steps. The hotel is just 50 meters away.
Inside the hotel is much better than looks from the outside, with rooms rather recently built. Room was on hot side, but for 2 nights it did not bother.

It felt quite secure, helped by chip-card system and the guard at the entrance. The hotel itself and the rooms are clean and there seems supervisors present even on weekends. Breakfast has some reasonable options and as much quantity as you can eat, but do not take food away. The free WiFi is good for browsing, high-speed version costs 8 euros/day.

Overall it is good hotel which would easily earn its 3+ stars in many European cities.

“Good choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

For a single (and simple) room, it was perfectly good. Clean and new. Good bath and a perfect room service. When you cross the exit, you are already in a metro station. Attendants are nice, but unfortunately only one guy spoke a good English there. Moreover, the room was smelling smoke when I arrived. Anyhow, I strongly recommend it.

Room Tip: Choose a room in the Moscow River side.

“Out of the centre but well placed and reasonably priced”

I booked this through Thomas Cook, based on good TA reviews. City Central hotels were much more and this was excellent value for money.
Staff are friendly and speak good English; a very useful aspect in moscow. They were helpful with directions and suggestions for places to visit and areas for restaurants; especially around the hotel rather than in the centre. Local one are a bit hit and miss as they do not have english menus. I found it better to return to the centre.

Security is good at the hotel; you feel safe. In fact, the whole area is busy into the evening and it seemed safe.

The one difficult thing is to find the hotel, even if it is next to the metro... so...

HINT for metro travel.
Take exit from platform near the back of the train (travelling from city centre). Turn left just after going through station exit doors into the subway then exit right. Ar street level, look to the left (away from the road) and hotel is through a gap in the wall.

“Highly Recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

This hotel was €60 a night for a single room. The room was very clean and modern, there was an excellent breakfast. It's about three stops from the city centre which is really no problem at all. The area felt very safe with shops and cafes nearby. I would highly recommend this hotel.

“Good hotel close to metro”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011

Hotels with a location close to the metro are convenient, especially in Moscow. The Maxima Panorama has adequate sized rooms with excellent security and convenient internet access. There are tables in the restaurant room sufficient for small group meetings and discussions. A number of good restaurants are within a few minutes walking distance of the hotel. The reception is manned with English speaking personnel who are helpful with information and suggestions. Hotel can organize
