+Great location- very central and near a *fantastic* metro station
+Apartment (private rooms) were quite nice and well furnished
+Reasonable price for the location
+Recommend the nearby 'Il Patio' for a great breakfast, friendly service, and well-priced cocktails to have with your evening meal!


-The lonely planet describes staff as 'lackadaisical' but I would just say they were rude and unhelpful
- Only one bathroom in the private apartment. With the toilet in the bathroom. Which means that you might just need to leave without using the loo if there's already a long shower queue.
-Make sure you take your map and instructions with you, as there is no label on the door
-Dorms looked mega-crowded (didn't stay there so this opinion based only on a look-in)

The only good thing about this hostel is the location, close to Tverskaya (metro, restaurants, markets). The hostel is in an old communist building, very dirt. The rooms are really small (the dorms are small, I don't know about the apartments which are in a different place), very different from the pictures shown in Hostelworld.com. Staff sleeps until 10 o'clock, so don't arrive early.

Rather uninviting looking Soviet era exterior, steel door and communal stair of this apartment block belied the much more promising interior of this 3 bedroom shared flat, which was spacious and in some ways even rather grandly appointed, apart that is from the bed, which was very poor with sheets and covers which were too small and a dirty old mattress which should have been recycled a long time ago. A pity - would have recommended, but for the bed which was totally inadequate.

We stayed in a private room which is housed in an apartment across teh road from the main hostel

no one else was there so we had a full moscow apartment to ourselves for the price of a hostel !!!

everything was really clean and the facilities were good except the internet which was not working.

The staff were very friendly and the main hostel is nice except there is no common area other than a kitchen table which is usually occupied

would definitely reccomend staying here.
