“Gran Not Grand”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

I stayed at Gran Prix for only a night. The amenities are very basic but the room (including the restroom) was clean and the wi-fi was working properly.

I got the Deluxe Room. It was small but not dingy. There was no window save for a very small one next to the restroom door so no breath-taking views of the city, naturally.

The staff was accommodating but not memorable.

The location is very near the Fuente Osmena Circle which is not very ideal for those who fancy a more upscale environment. It is very near restaurants and other commercial establishments though. Just across the street is a Robinson’s mall convenient for any basic needs. A few blocks away are bars and clubs but I’m not sure if they’re any good.

There’s nothing special about the place but if you’re on a budget, it would suffice as the property is clean and the room rates are very affordable.

Room Tip: Shamrock, where most tourists buy pasalubong/gifts, is just a stone’s throw away somewhere around th...

“good value budget accomodation”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2011

We stayed in the 'family room' which is a split level room with a double bed on each floor. They allow 3 adults to stay in this room which has a sink, microwave, fridge and 2 TVs. For the price (only marginally more than the much smaller normal rooms) I think this place is a great deal. Breakfast is a voucher for each guest to go to Jollibees!!!

Room Tip: only book if the family room split level is available. they only take cash btw.

“Great place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 December 2011

My fiance and I booked a superior room a day before our trip to Cebu but when we got there, their staff told ua that we have been upgraded to a deluxe room which is bigger. During our stay, their staff attended to our needs politely. Their male attendant offered help to carry our stuff and bring it to where we are heading. The staff and services was excellent. The only problem was that you can hear other people talking from the corridor or from the next room since the partitions are of drywall material. Neverthless, it was a comfortable place to stay!

“White Lady”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2011

I think this is a relatively new hotel because the finish is a bit fresh. There's an elevator and security cam everywhere. The room is small, with a small bed and clean sheets. The AC is exceptionally cold, the flat tv is small, and there's a small painting as well. Walls are useless because you could hear all noise from the outside of your room. Breakfast is a voucher from Jollibee, just a few blocks away. Location is great and there's free wifi. The staff is nice and accomodating. But beware though, there's a white lady that rings the doorbell at dawn that offers guests an indescent proposal, on which i don't know why they can have access in the hotel in the first place, probably through an insider pimp.

“good budget hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2011

if you want a no frills place to just get your sleep and as a base for a very reasonable price then look no further. my room was clean with an ample size shower room/toilet .the air con was good and bed comfy. the location was good for malls & quite central. ok the breakfast is just a cheap voucher for the jolibee a minute up the road but your not paying for the frills. the security guard was friendly and helpful. again no luxury of in room safe but reception will take your valuables for storage & give you a reciept for it. i stayed at other places here but wished i had just came back here as they were not worth the extra money

Room Tip: if you travel from airport use a proper metered taxi...i paid 800 peso to get here but only cost 300...
